Alpha’s Regret: My Rejected Mate Is A Healer novel Chapter 119

A heavy silence immediately filled the room after Alpha Kael’s outburst.

Derek’s eyes narrowed slightly as looks at Maxwell, waiting for his reaction. He knew Kael had struck a nerve.

Maxwell didn’t disappoint, but one thing he didn’t know was that Alpha Kael wasn’t just an ordinary werewolf or a ‘mutt’ as he just called them.

His fingers twitched, his sharp fangs peeking out as his eyes darkened. The anger in his gaze was unmistakable. Then, without warning, he charged at Kael, his speed as fast as lightening but dark.

He aimed for Kael’s throat, but Kael had seen so many battles to be caught off guard.

Before Maxwell could strike, Kael twisted his body slightly and slammed his elbow into Maxwell’s side. The force sent the vampire stumbling back, his cloak fluttering as he steadied himself.

Maxwell’s eyes widened in shock. His jaw tightened. He was fast-faster than some vampires, faster than most creatures. But speed meant nothing if your enemy could predict your moves.

Kael smirked at his stunned expression. “Don’t act surprised, you were too predictable” he said, his tone mocking. Maxwell clenched his fists. “You talk too much, let’s see if you would still have that smug look by the time I’m done with you.” His muscles tensed immediately, his fingers curling as his sharp nails elongated. Then, in a blink, he vanished again. This time, he went low, reappearing behind Kael, his clawed hand slicing toward the werewolf’s back.

Kael didn’t even bother to turn.

With a sharp kick backward, he caught Maxwell mid-attack, sending him flying into the nearby wall. The wooden panels cracked under the force, dust falling from the ceiling as Maxwell’s body hit the ground.

“Is that all you’ve got?” Kael taunted.

Maxwell let out a growl, his chest rising and falling heavily. He wasn’t used to being overpowered-especially not by a werewolf. His training, his skills, none of it mattered if brute strength could crush him in an instant.

And Kael wasn’t just strong-he was a warrior, who had spent almost all his life on the battlefield.

Kael stepped forward, his movements slow, controlled-like a predator toying with its prey. “You were so eager to fight a mutt, and now look at you,” he taunted. “Still think you don’t need my help?”

Maxwell pushed himself up, wiping the blood from the corner of his lips. He shifted his stance, his claws still out, ready to attack again. “I don’t trust you,” he spat.

Kael smirked. “Good. I don’t trust you either.”

Maxwell lunged forward again, this time aiming for Kael’s legs. But Kael was ever ready. He caught Maxwell mid-motion, gripping him by the collar and slamming him into the ground again.

Maxwell let out a choked breath. His vision became blurry, but before he could recover, Kael had pinned him down with one of his knee pressing into his chest.

“You may be fast, blood-sucker,” Kael murmured, eyes glinting with amusement, “but you are no match for a warrior.”

Maxwell growled and tried to shove him off, but it was useless. Kael barely budged. His strength was unmatched. He wasn’t just any werewolf. He was an alpha. A beast who had spent his life on battlefields, facing creatures stronger and deadlier than a vampire trained to be a spy. Maxwell was skilled, yes. But Kael was something else entirely.

“Enough!” Valen’s voice finally rang out. “We don’t have time for this.”

Kael held Maxwell’s glare for a moment longer before scoffing and pushing off him.

Maxwell shot to his feet, his breath ragged, his hands balled into fists. His pride was wounded, his rage burning-but he knew better than to attack again.

Kael smirked. “Now that’s what a mutt can do.”

Maxwell’s fingers twitched again, itching to strike, but Valen placed a firm hand on his shoulder. “Stay still,” he warned.

Ella glared at him, her eyes filled with disdain. “Quit the act Kevin, you don’t care about me, you never did.”

“Don’t say that Ella, I have been searching for you”

Ella laughed dryly, it’s been three days since she was captured and no one had given her even a drop of water. She was so weak but the anger from seeing Kevin stirred up an unknown strength within her.

“I would never forgive you and Sandra for taking away something so precious from me” Ella said her eyes filled with unhidden rage.

Kevin thought she was referring to the breakup and position of the Luna. “I’m sorry for my actions back then, I shouldn’t have chosen Sandra over you despite she was my mate, especially after what we shared. But I’m ready to give you back your position as the Luna”

Ella scoffed, her voice dangerously low and filled with contempt. “Luna? You think I care about being your Luna?”

Kevin was taken slightly aback. “Then what are you referring to?”

“My unborn pup” Ella whispered coldly, her eyes narrowing with pain and anger.

Kevin stood stunned. “I don’t understand what you’re talking about Ella. What Pup? were you pregnant?”

Ella laughed bitterly, her anger spreading over her chest as she watch Kevin pretend as if he doesn’t know what she was talking about.
