Alpha’s Regret: My Rejected Mate Is A Healer novel Chapter 54

Sebastian pushed the heavy doors of his chambers open, his dark eyes immediately drawn to the figure draped across his bed. Sandra lay sprawled there, her long legs crossed lazily, the thin black robe she wore barely clinging to her frame. The silk fabric did nothing to hide the curves beneath, instead teasing him with every dip and slope. Her hair was a cascade of wild waves against the pillows, and her lips were curved into a knowing smile.

“You’re late,” she said, her voice low and sultry as she propped herself up on one elbow. The movement caused the robe to slip off her shoulder, baring even more skin. “I was starting to think you weren’t coming.”

Sebastian leaned against the doorframe, his sharp eyes taking her in. “I wasn’t aware I was on a schedule,” he replied coolly, though the corner of his lips lifted slightly. “But it seems you’ve made yourself comfortable.”

Sandra chuckled, stretching out like a cat in the sun. “I always do.”

He didn’t bother responding. Instead, he strode into the room, his boots making no sound against the plush carpet. His gaze was calculating as he shed his coat and let it fall to the floor. Sandra’s eyes followed his every move, her anticipation palpable. “Another fight with your husband?” he asked casually, his voice devoid of concern as he began unbuttoning his shirt. Sandra’s expression flickered, just for a moment, before she masked it with a smirk. “Let’s just say he’s been… difficult. And I needed a break.”

“A break,” Sebastian repeated, stepping closer. “From your duties as a Luna? Or from pretending to care about him?”

Sandra didn’t flinch at his mocking tone. Instead, she leaned back further into the pillows, the silk robe pooling around her waist and leaving her upper body bare. “Call it whatever you want,” she said with a sly smile. “But I’m here, aren’t I? Isn’t that all that matters?”

Sebastian let out a low chuckle as he climbed onto the bed, his movements slow and deliberate. His hands found her waist, pulling her closer. “It’s all that matters for now.”

Sebastian was close enough now to see the faint flush on her cheeks, the way her chest rose and fell with each breath. He reached out, catching the edge of her robe between his fingers. “You should know by now, Sandra,” he said softly, his voice like silk over steel. “I don’t care about your reasons. I care more about what you do to me.”

Her laughter was soft, almost breathless, as she pushed herself up onto her knees. The robe fell away completely, pooling around her waist and leaving her upper body bare. She reached for him, her hands gliding over the fabric of his coat. “Then let me give you what you want.”

He didn’t need further invitation. With a growl, he lifted her effortlessly, tossing her back onto the bed. Sandra laughed, the sound rich and inviting, as she sprawled across the mattress, her hair fanning out like a dark halo. She reached for him, her arms open, her body an irresistible invitation.

Their lips met in a fierce kiss, a clash of dominance and desire that left no room for hesitation. Sandra responded eagerly, her nails digging into his shoulders as she arched against him. The tension between them ignited into a frenzy of heat and passion, their movements frantic and demanding. Sandra moaned softly as Sebastian’s lips trailed down her neck, his teeth grazing her skin just enough to make her shiver.

The tension between them was electric, every touch igniting a fire that threatened to consume them both. Sebastian’s hands roamed over her body, exploring every curve, every hollow, every inch of her that she so willingly offered. Sandra moaned softly, her nails raking down his back as she urged him on.

Their movements were frantic yet controlled, a battle for dominance that neither was willing to lose. Sandra’s breath hitched as Sebastian’s lips trailed down her neck again, his teeth grazing her skin just enough to make her lose control. She clung to him, her body trembling with anticipation.

Hours seemed to blur together as they gave in to their desires, the outside world forgotten. When the storm of passion finally subsided, Sandra lay sprawled across the bed, her chest rising and falling as she caught her breath. Sebastian leaned back against the headboard, his expression as cold and unreadable as ever.

Sandra turned onto her side, propping herself up on one elbow as she studied him. “You’re quiet,” she said, breaking the silence. “Rough night with the council?”

Sandra smiled faintly, her voice turning sly. “That’s the question, isn’t it? Why would he keep her, despite his hatred? There has to be a reason. Or Maybe… she’s more valuable than we realize.”

Sebastian leaned back, his mind racing. Sandra’s words hung in the air, planting seeds of doubt and curiosity. “And why does this matter to you?” he asked finally, his tone guarded.

Sandra reached out, placing a hand on his chest. “Because I see an opportunity, Sebastian. If Ella is as powerful as I’ve heard, then her abilities could change everything. Imagine what you could do with that power. You could finally surpass Valen, take what’s rightfully yours. You could rule.”

Sebastian stared at her, his expression unreadable. But in his mind, her words began to take root, spiraling into something darker. The thought of wielding Ella’s power, of using it to destroy Valen and claim dominance—it was intoxicating.

Sandra saw the shift in his eyes, the way his smirk deepened into something far more sinister. She smiled, knowing she had struck the chord she was aiming for. “Think about it, Sebastian,” she murmured, her voice soft and dangerous. “Valen’s perfect world is already starting to crack. All you need to do is give it a little push.”

Sebastian didn’t respond, but the look on his face said everything. His mind was already working, plotting, scheming. Sandra’s smirk widened as she leaned back against the pillows, satisfied that she had planted the idea she needed. If she couldn’t destroy Ella herself, she would gladly help someone else do it.
