Alpha’s Regret: My Rejected Mate Is A Healer novel Chapter 79

Morgana leaned back in the high-backed chair, her lips curling into a triumphant smirk. The dim light from the chandelier cast sharp shadows on her face.

“It worked,” she said, her voice filled with satisfaction. “Never thought hypnosis would work on her.”

Sebastian placed the small vial of blood back on the desk, his expression calm but quietly smug. “I think it was possible with her blood,” he replied, gesturing to the faint remnants of blood inside the glass. “Without that drop, this wouldn’t have worked.”

Morgana’s gaze flicked to the vial. She remembered the struggle of acquiring that single drop, a detail she preferred not to dwell on now that the plan had succeeded.

“Still,” Sebastian continued, “it was a gamble. Hypnosis usually fails on werewolves, but with a bit of science and the supernatural combined, it worked like a charm.”

Morgana laughed lightly, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “So the mighty mate of Valen isn’t so untouchable. Guess she’s not that powerful after all. She said, her tone sarcastic. “Nothing special about her.”

Sebastian fingers traced the vial on the desk as he leaned back, his sharp eyes studying Morgana. “The first step is done. Now, we wait and let the chaos unfold.”

“I can’t wait for her to be out of Valen’s life,” Morgana responded, her excitement barely contained. Her smile widened as she pictured the chaos they were about to unleash.

“But what’s the plan?” she asked after a moment, curiosity flaring in her eyes.

Sebastian turned his gaze to her. “There’s still more to do. And for the next step, we’ll need some… assistance.”

Morgana frowned, sitting upright. “What do you mean?”

Sebastian’s gaze shifted toward the darkened corner of the room. “I believe you know what to do now.”

From the shadows, a figure emerged. The soft shuffle of boots against the floor drew Morgana’s attention. She stiffened as the unmistakable scent of a werewolf filled the air.

The woman stepped forward, her amber eyes gleaming with confidence. Morgana rose to her feet, her expression twisting into one of anger and suspicion. “What is the meaning of this?” she snapped, Her gaze darted between Sebastian and the werewolf.. “Have you allied yourself with the enemy, Sebastian? Or did you also get yourself a werewolf mate? No… your heart’s too dead for that.”

Sebastian held up a hand to calm her. “Relax, Morgana. She’s not the enemy. In fact, she’s the one who came up with this plan of taking Ella down.”

Morgana’s eyes narrowed. “How so?” she sneered, her arms crossing. “Why would a werewolf betray her kind?”

The woman stepped fully into the light, her amber eyes gleaming with confidence. “Let’s just say, I have my reasons,” she said coolly.

Morgana crossed her arms, her glare unyielding. “That’s not an answer.”

The woman smirked, unfazed. “Ella’s my step-sister.”

The words hung in the air like a bombshell. Even Sebastian looked taken aback.

“Step-sister?” he repeated, his voice laced with curiosity. “You never mentioned that.”

Sandra shrugged nonchalantly. Her tone casual “Didn’t think it was necessary.”

Sandra’s lips curled into a faint smirk. “Well, let’s just say I hate her existence,” she replied, her tone casual but loaded. “How convenient,” Morgana muttered under her breath. Sarcasm dripping from her words.

Sebastian pinched the bridge of his nose, clearly irritated. “Ladies, if you’re done trading insults, we have more pressing matters to discuss. He stepped between them, his tone commanding. “We’ve set the stage with the hypnosis. Sandra, you know what to do next.”

Sandra nodded. “I’ll handle my part. Don’t worry.”

“Good,” Sebastian said, his sharp gaze sweeping over both women. “The task ahead won’t be easy. You’ll need each other to succeed, whether you like it or not.”

Morgana glared at Sandra but remained silent. Sandra’s smug expression didn’t falter.

Sebastian smiled darkly, his fangs glinting in the dim light. “For now, we’ll sit back and let the chaos unfold.”

The room fell into a tense silence as his words lingered in the air. Morgana and Sandra exchanged one last icy glance before turning away from each other.

Sebastian watched them with amusement. For now, he would use them both to his advantage. They were pawns in his larger game, each useful in their own way. He didn’t care about their grudges or mistrust. As long as they played their roles, his plan would succeed. But when the time came, he wouldn’t hesitate to discard them if it served his purpose.

For now, all he had to do was wait and let the pieces fall into place.
