Julian’s expression didn't change. “One week.”

While Victor Ashford was busy preparing for the adoption ceremony, back in Westbridge, Selena had returned to work.
Adrian had purchased the land where Isabel’s small lab had been destroyed in the explosion and had a new one built in its place. No one knew its purpose.
Oliver had started refusing to go to school. With everything that had happened at the Blackwell Group, Adrian had no time to manage him personally, so he sent him to the family estate with a team of tutors. But Oliver had driven every single one of them away in a fit of temper.
When Selena heard about it, she offered to visit, but Adrian stopped her.
“He gets violent.”
“Oliver has always liked me,” Selena said softly. “Last time was an accident. He’s just acting out after learning his biological mother passed away. Don’t worry, let me talk to him. What happened before won’t happen again.”
Adrian still refused. “I can’t take that risk.” He added, “Grandmother will handle it. Just focus on your work.”
Selena feigned a pout. “Adrian, you worry about me too much.”

Old Mrs. Blackwell didn't interfere much with Oliver. Aside from instructing the chef to make his favorite dishes and occasionally preparing him a bowl of noodles or steamed egg custard herself, she mostly left him to his own devices.
Oliver, however, often sought her out.
“Great-grandma, can you find Mom? You and Mom were always the closest.”
Old Mrs. Blackwell kept her eyes closed, resting. “When I’m dead, I’ll go ask for you.”
