Blizzard, First Love and a Wife Who Finally Snaps novel Chapter 224

"You..."

She had barely spoken a word when she saw Richard walking over.

He nodded at Isabel in acknowledgment before striding inside and lifting the tipsy Evelyn into his arms to leave.

"Honey? What are you doing here? I missed you so much!"

With that, she leaned in for a kiss.

Her forwardness was quite something.

Isabel quickly covered both children's eyes.

Julian chuckled. "They certainly are passionate and free-spirited."

Isabel shot him a look. "Evelyn meant no harm by staying here. You didn't have to do that."

Julian pointed with his chin.

Isabel saw one of his men place two bottles of wine in the car taking Richard away—the ones Evelyn had been clamoring for.

"I need a few days of peace. This is my home, not a hotel."

Isabel was speechless. She was, after all, living under his roof.

"Be careful with your business."

"Yeah, I'm off."

He casually pinched Isabel's cheek as he left.

After seeing everyone off, Isabel brought the two boys back inside to continue playing.

"Mommy, let's take a picture," Edmund said, holding up a phone. "We don't have any photos of just the two of us."

Leo raised his hand. "I can take it for you."

Edmund handed him the phone and then threw himself into Isabel's arms.

Isabel hugged him, adjusted their position, and they both looked at the camera.

It was just a picture; she wasn't going to spoil the child's fun.

Leo took several shots for them to choose from.

He asked Isabel, "Auntie, can I post this on my social media?"

"Go ahead."

Children these days were born into an age of rapid technological advancement.

They had access to phones from a young age, or at the very least, multi-functional smartwatches.
