In Gideon's eyes, 15 thousand dollars was pocket change. He wouldn't even bother to look at it.

"Let me take you out to dinner tonight, then." Giselle changed the subject. Since he refused to accept her money, she wouldn't push it, especially since they were already so familiar.

"You should've done that ages ago." He glanced at her.

"Alright, I'll treat you to a fancy dinner that costs around five grand per person. You decide where."

He actually went ahead and recommended some of the upscale restaurants he often frequented, chatting with her the whole way to fill the silence. By the time they got back to Glenmoor, it was already 6:00 or 7:00 pm, and the two of them headed straight to the seafood bistro they'd agreed on.

This chain restaurant was run by one of Gideon's friends. It had an incredible view, first-class service, and top-quality ingredients. Most of the seafood was flown in fresh from abroad, and it was always busy.

This time, she made a point to ask what he liked before ordering. They ended up with a spread that included lobsters, seared foie gras, oysters, ribeye steak, and more.

The couple spent the day at a shooting range and enjoyed a luxurious dinner at night. The man across from her was also easy on the eyes. Giselle thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the time with him.

After dinner, Gideon said he had to swing by his company.

"In that case, you can drive yourself back. I'll take a cab later," she offered.

"My company's a few miles away. Why don't you stop by for a bit?" he invited.

Up until now, she had no clue what Gideon actually did for a living. However, when she arrived at his company, she realized he was in the gaming industry.

His company had multiple buildings and was behind several of the most popular games on the market. His net worth was probably over five billion dollars.

Giselle followed him up to the CEO's office on the tenth floor. When he pushed the door open, she followed inside.

"Uncle Ethan?" Gideon looked up and found someone sitting on the couch in his office. He was a little surprised. "What are you doing here?"

After hearing him call this man "Uncle Ethan", she figured this must be the legendary "godfather" she'd heard about. Her heart missed a beat when she saw the man's face.
