"Sure." Gideon scoffed mockingly as he declared unashamedly, "As long as you drop the case, just name your condition. Even if you want me to grovel and call you master, I'd say yes."
Donovan glanced at Gideon contemptuously and said icily, "I want you to leave this city and have no contact with her forever. I'll let her go when you have done your part."
"Fuck!" Gideon cursed immediately and looked at Donovan exasperatedly. "Are you kidding me? If I can go no contact with her in the first place, do I even need to do whatever this is I'm doing right now? Besides, even if I were to verbally give you my word here today, would you even believe me?
"I'll be absolutely frank with you now, Donovan Kane. I like her. I want her. If you want me to stay away, you can dream on."
"Then don't waste my time. Fuck off!" Donovan flew into a fit of rage and floored the accelerator pedal. His car lurched forward, crashed hard into the Bentley that was in its way, and zipped away without an ounce of care.
Gideon, who was leaning on Donovan's car window, fell painfully onto the ground and watched helplessly as Donovan crashed into his car. He was near Donovan's private residence, and it certainly wasn't appropriate for him to force his way into Donovan's house.
All he could do was drive his car, which now had a large dent in the middle, away as he planned to go to Ethan once again to seek his connections and help.
…
Giselle was already detained here for a week.
Compared to the place where she was previously detained for five days for allegedly reckless driving, the condition of the lockup she was currently in was a lot worse since it was in the middle of nowhere, in the countryside.
In the span of a week, she had lived the hardest days she had ever lived in her entire life.
They only ran away when the wardens yelled and knocked the door loudly from the outside.
Giselle was left sprawled on the ground, with her clothes still hanging on her neck from when she was undressing previously. Her hair was a mess after the attack, she was bleeding from her nose and mouth, and she couldn't stop tearing up because of the excruciating pain she had all over her body.
The wardens were very used to seeing brawls like these. As long as no one died, they would just turn a blind eye. They simply came in to help Giselle up, not without reprimanding her about it, too.
Giselle briefly applied some ointment to herself and returned to her bed. She covered her head with her blanket, as she recalled the nightmare that had just happened, she couldn't help but tremble in fear.
Sadly, that wasn't the first time she was bullied.
