Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 211

"What if I don't?" Giselle shot Anne a withering glare and shoved her hard.

Anne staggered back several steps, nearly losing her balance.

"You little tramp! You know she's pregnant, and you still push her like that?" Renee's fury boiled as she raised her hand to slap Giselle.

But before she could bring it down, Gideon crossed the room in a few quick strides and caught her wrist midair.

He wasn't even using full strength, just enough for his grip to dig in, but Renee winced in pain, unable to yank free. "You—let go of me! I'm still your elder. How dare you put your hands on me?"

"You're insane!" Anne barked, her voice high with anger. "The kick you gave my Mom last time… we were nice enough not to call the police. And now you think you can come into our house and act like you own the place? You think we're easy targets?"

Gideon's hold tightened until it felt like he might snap Renee's wrist. His eyes were cold and unyielding. "This is the second time you've gone after her right in front of me. I don't care what you did to her before. I won't go digging into the past. But from now on, she's my woman. If you touch her or insult her again, you'll regret it."

After delivering his threat, he yanked his hand free from Renee's grip and gave her a hard shove for good measure.

With a loud thud, Renee lost her balance and collapsed into the couch, her elbow slamming against the armrest hard enough to make her cry out in pain.

"Mom!" Anne rushed to her side.

Then he shot Gideon a grin. "If you were coming here, you should've told me sooner. Whatever you need, you can just come to me. Everyone in this house is crazy except me—sorry you had to witness it."

Seeing Sebastian grovel like that, Renee's face went crimson. "Sebastian, stop meddling and get back upstairs!"

Sebastian looked at her with open irritation. "Mom, you're unbelievable. You run a publicly listed company, but at home you act like a shrew. You've gone so far that you've forced Mr. Grayson to step in himself, and that says everything."

He turned on Anne next. "And you, Donovan doesn't even want you, yet you keep begging him to marry you. It's pathetic. And let's be real, even if you don't want to hear it, you're not as good-looking as Giselle. No amount of argument will change that. Just admit defeat already!"
