Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 260

The gunshot exploded through the room with a deafening crack. The bullet tore straight into the man's skull.

In an instant, he collapsed, his massive body hitting the ground with a heavy thud. He lifted his head and glanced at the doorway where Giselle stood with the smoking gun. However, before he could even register what had happened, he was dead.

Susanna shrieked at the horrifying sight, clutching her arms and shrinking against the head of the bed, trembling violently.

It was the first time Giselle had ever killed someone. She hadn't expected her aim to be so precise. Looking at the customer, who was lying in a pool of his own blood, she wasn't shaken or frantic; instead, she was unnervingly calm, as if she had just taken out an enemy on a battlefield.

"Giselle, you…" Susanna's face went pale with fear when she realized Giselle had killed someone with a gun. "Is he… dead? You killed him, didn't you?"

Giselle tucked the gun back into her clothes and calmly walked over to the bed. While helping Susanna dress, she said, "Don't worry about anything else and get out of here!"

However, this wasn't a silent ambush; it was a gunshot fired in plain sight. The gunshot had already echoed throughout the building, startling everyone inside, particularly Orin.

He was on his way out to handle something else, but the moment he heard the gunshot, he rushed upstairs and burst into Giselle's room in no time. His eyes widened in shock when he noticed the customer lying dead on the floor and Giselle helping Susanna out the door. "What happened?" he asked hoarsely.

There was no way she could hide something this big. Giselle pulled Susanna behind her and hastily spun a lie. "This young lady was terrified and refused to give in. The customer pulled out a gun to kill her, but he ended up shooting himself."

The man had been shot in the back of the head, and Giselle's evasive gaze gave her away. There was no fooling Orin. He seized her wrist and demanded fiercely, "Tell me the truth! Was it you?"

Even with a gun pointed at him, Orin didn't lose his composure; he merely locked his cold eyes on Giselle.

Meanwhile, the other man in uniform spotted Susanna, the woman their comrade had chosen for the night. He directed his anger at her, grabbing her violently.

Giselle hurriedly stepped between Susanna and the man and fearlessly said, "It's not her. She had nothing to do with it!"

Just then, the man with a gun spotted a surveillance camera in the corner of the room and demanded that Orin pull up the footage. Orin wanted to know the truth as well, so he ordered someone to check the surveillance footage.
