Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 362

Seeing how quickly Dorothea rushed off as if something serious had happened, Giselle couldn't help but run after her. "What happened, Mrs. Kane? Do you need my help?"

After all, she was old. As infuriating as she had been just moments before, it would definitely affect Giselle's marriage with Donovan if anything happened to her.

Thus, Giselle had no choice but to care about her.

Dorothea wanted to ignore her, but she couldn't help answering sharply, "My Nini fell into the sewer. What could you possibly do to help?"

With that, she walked straight to the elevator.

Dorothea's beloved cat was in trouble.

Giselle hesitated momentarily before grabbing her phone and car keys and following after her. As they headed downstairs, Dorothea called Alice again to ask where the cat was.

Alice explained anxiously where it was and how it was still trapped inside. She was unsure of how to get the cat out.

"Call the police immediately!" Dorothea barked in panic. Nini was her beloved pet, and the thought of losing it made her frantic. "Hurry up and call! If something happens to Nini, you won't be able to pay with your life!"

It was Dorothea's first time seeing Giselle behind the wheel. She couldn't help but be impressed by her sharp instincts and quick reflexes. In fact, Giselle's driving was even better than the Kane family's professional chauffeur.

Suddenly, a car swerved in from the right at an intersection and cut across Giselle's lane. She jerked the wheel to dodge it and instinctively cursed, "What an idiot!"

In the backseat, Dorothea frowned and shot her a disapproving look. "Don't drive so fast. Safety first."

Only then did Giselle remember she had an aristocratic matriarch sitting behind her. She chuckled awkwardly and explained, "I'm sorry, Mrs. Kane. I got anxious thinking about your cat being stuck in such a dangerous place."
