Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 373

"Stop acting crazy," Giselle snapped.

She didn't want to hear another word. Her mind grew more and more restless as she pried his hands off her waist. "You're being irrational, and it only makes me afraid of you and want to stay away even more."

Gideon had no choice but to let go. He drew in a deep breath and said, "Alright then. Go. I'll keep my madness to myself from now on. I won't trouble you anymore. Just leave."

After those words, a sharper pain gripped his chest. Fearing the haze of alcohol might push him into recklessness, he dragged his drenched body and staggered toward the stairs.

When he finally staggered upstairs, Giselle said nothing more and quietly made her way to the door.

Just as she stepped outside, a woman suddenly appeared in front of her.

The woman stood with her arms crossed, glaring at her with deep resentment.

Beside her, a nanny held a toddler about a year old. The child was quiet this time and just looked at Giselle curiously.

"Hello," Giselle said after a brief pause, realizing the woman before her was Gideon's ex, Cecilia.

She was also the one who had given him a son.

"Ms. Holt," Cecilia said sharply. "If I'm not mistaken, you're already married. Why are you here in my husband's house, flirting and clinging to him?"

The sharp accusation left Giselle momentarily stunned, but she quickly recovered.

"Ms. York, you're exaggerating. I only came today to return Mr. Grayson's dog. I happened to find him in poor spirits, so I said a few words to him.

"He was drunk and acted out of line, and I was completely passive in the situation. If you're married to him, then I suggest you keep your man in check."
