Breaking Mr. Cold (Giselle and Donovan) novel Chapter 639

Marselle had heard Gideon tell her to get out countless times, but this time the words cut much deeper.

When she saw him reach for the bottle again, she suddenly lunged forward, snatched it from his hand, and slammed it to the floor. The glass exploded with a sharp crack.

"Gideon, are you out of your damn mind?" Her anger finally burst. "You think this is some grand, tragic love? You're just pathetically moved by your own drama. That woman never loved you. Never. The more you debase yourself, the more she looks down on you."

"Shut up." Gideon's bloodshot eyes locked on her. "I told you to get out. Are you deaf?"

But Marselle only escalated. "To Giselle, you're worse than her dog. You have been a joke from beginning to end, a clown. All your love is something she never wanted. The only thing she ever wanted from you was for you to disappear from her life. Even if you drank yourself to death tonight, she wouldn't bother glancing at your corpse. She's getting married. You'd ruin the mood."

Something snapped inside Gideon's head.

He shot upright, seized her jaw in a crushing grip, and roared, "Say one more word. I have never met a more disgusting woman. Get out. Now."

"No, I won't!"

"If you don't, I swear I'll kill you right here."

Marselle stared back at him without blinking, defiant and sly. "You won't touch me. You're a coward. A weak, pathetic coward—"

Before she could finish, he shoved her backward onto the couch. Fueled by alcohol and the raw agony of heartbreak, he pinned her down and tore at her clothes without restraint.

Half a month later, the day of Giselle and Donovan's wedding finally arrived.

The ceremony was held at a five-star resort hotel on the outskirts of the city, one of the properties invested in by Kane Group.

The hotel sat nestled within a lush forest park and offered every luxury imaginable, including a pool, gym, tennis court, spa, and a world-class gourmet restaurant.
