Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 294

“You think you can have it all? You’re not that lucky. Sign these papers and stop getting in the way of my Natty’s happiness. Matthew is a much better fit for her. I’ve been observing him for three years; he’s my choice for my grandson-in-law,” the old man declared, his voice booming with anger.

Sebastian’s eyes widened in shock. “Grandfather, are you saying… it was Natalie who saved me from the fire?” His voice trembled, his pupils shaking.

The old man shot to his feet, roaring, “Sebastian, I never knew you could be this shameless! My granddaughter can’t even wear a backless dress because of the scars she got saving you! When that burning beam was about to fall, she shielded you with her own body. And what did you do after you were rescued? You disappeared without so much as a ‘thank you’!”

“Now sign these papers! My granddaughter likes young, attractive men. An old fossil like you is perfect for Joanna.” The old man slapped the divorce papers on the desk, his authority absolute. No one was going to stand in the way of his granddaughter’s happiness.

Sebastian rose to his feet, his voice urgent. “Grandfather, I won’t divorce her.”

The old man’s face turned crimson with rage. “You won’t divorce her? What do you want? My granddaughter has nearly died for you twice, and you still want more? Do you want her dead?” Before Sebastian could answer, he added, “Let me tell you something. You’ll die before my Natty does! All these years, if she hadn’t been watching out for you, do you think your company would have grown so smoothly? I would have personally destroyed you and that pack of vultures at the Scott family long ago! Now that she’s finally ready to leave a scumbag like you, I won’t let you stop her. Sign it!”

But as the old man’s tirade reached its peak, Sebastian’s vision swam, and he collapsed, his eyes rolling back into his head.

The old man stood there, stunned.

The old man’s temper flared again. “What is that supposed to mean, nodding and shaking your head?”

“Sir, I’m not sure what rumors you’re referring to,” Sean said, finding the old man oddly endearing. Despite his age, he was fit, full of life, and clearly devoted to his granddaughter.

“The rumors about my Natty and Matthew! How could you have missed them?” The old man’s expression suddenly turned sly. “My Natty is beautiful, and Matthew is handsome. Don’t you think they make a perfect couple?”
