Jenny quickly jumped in to admit her mistake.
"Of course, who could possibly compete with you? This is entirely my fault, Mr. Holloway. I owe you an apology. Thank you for letting bygones be bygones and still being willing to invest in Valmont Holdings' project. I truly appreciate it."
Dominic didn't dwell on the subject, his tone as indifferent as ever.
"Let's let results speak for themselves."
Jenny responded respectfully, "Absolutely, Mr. Holloway. Valmont Holdings won't let you down."
She still felt as though she were dreaming. She never imagined Cynthia would actually land Dominic as an investor.
Seizing the opportunity, Jenny organized a dinner to formally thank Dominic, and to her surprise, he accepted the invitation.
Dominic had other meetings scheduled for the afternoon.
As he prepared to leave, he glanced at Cynthia and spoke in his usual cool voice.
"Shaw brought your car to the office."
Jenny had been hoping to chat privately with Cynthia, but instinctively realized it was better to see Cynthia and Dominic off together.
Not long after they left, Benedict pulled up in his car.
On the other side of town, Benedict had pulled plenty of strings to track down Dominic's vehicle.
With the information in hand, he drove to Dominic's gated community, and with a bit of maneuvering, managed to get himself inside.
Giselle sat in the passenger seat, her eyes bright with barely concealed excitement.
She couldn't believe how easy it was—she hadn't even had to lift a finger, and Benedict was already on Cynthia's trail.
Benedict drove restlessly through the underground parking garage, scanning for signs.
In the end, it was Giselle who spotted Dominic's car first.
"There it is, Benedict."
Benedict pulled over and walked over to confirm. Seeing the car, he couldn't hide the anger simmering in his eyes.
He checked the surveillance footage; Cynthia had gone in with Dominic over an hour ago.
A man and a woman alone, behind closed doors—God only knew what they might be doing.
