As soon as Isabella opened the door, she was greeted by an enticing aroma. Instead of instant noodles, she smelled chicken soup.

Theodore emerged from the kitchen wearing a bright floral apron. Seeing her frozen in the doorway, he smiled faintly.

"Go wash your hands," he said. "The noodles are ready."

Isabella felt genuinely surprised and delighted. She quickly washed her hands and took her seat, waiting expectantly as Theodore brought over the food. When he approached with the bowl, the rich aroma of chicken broth filled the air.

"Chicken noodle soup with parsley. I left out the onions," Theodore said, setting a fork in front of her.

She picked up the fork. Just the smell alone was making her mouth water since she'd been starving all day.

"How did you know I hate onions?" she asked. They'd only eaten together once, but somehow he'd already picked up on her preferences.

"Just a guess," Theodore replied, sitting across from her.

Isabella looked at him, puzzled. "Aren't you eating?"

"I don't eat after 9:00 pm."

She stared at him absentmindedly, wondering if his incredible physique came from pure self-discipline. In his line of work as a male escort, staying in peak physical condition was essential.

Unlike him, Isabella always told herself she'd go for evening runs, but somehow always ended up bringing takeout home instead.

Fortunately, her genetics kept her naturally slim despite her weakness for snacking. Without that biological advantage, her eating habits would have made her seriously overweight by now.

"Do people in your line of work have to monitor every bite and track calories?" Isabella asked while eating her food.

Theodore just watched her, as if her enjoying the food was enough to satisfy his own hunger.

"Not necessarily," he replied. "I just work out regularly."

Her gaze drifted across his body. She was well acquainted with it by now and recognized the discipline it took to maintain that level of fitness.
