Su Qinglan, of course, had no idea what they were thinking. She simply smiled and started gathering everyone to leave.
Soon, a group set off toward the forest. Su Qinglan led in front, with Bai Ling, Lin Muyu, her father Su Mingxuan, and a few sturdy young beastmen following.
Most of them were just reaching adulthood, with only one or two stripes marking their strength. The older, stronger warriors had already gone hunting, leaving the younger ones behind to help.
The forest was quiet and cool under the tall trees. Sunlight fell in patches through the leaves, and the air smelled fresh and green.
Su Qinglan walked in front, her vine basket hanging at her side. The others followed behind, chatting and laughing softly.
Suddenly, a soft voice echoed in her mind.
"Host, to your left. There’s a rare herb nearby. It can help strengthen a female’s body and increase fertility," Xuyu reminded her.
Su Qinglan paused and turned her head. Her eyes quickly found a small cluster of pale green plants growing near a mossy rock. The leaves were long and narrow, with tiny white flowers that looked like falling snowflakes.
Her eyes lit up. "This must be it," she murmured and walked toward it.
The others stopped and watched as Su Qinglan knelt down carefully. She brushed away the dirt around the roots and gently dug it out with her small stone knife. Then she placed the whole plant into her vine basket, smiling in satisfaction.
Lin Muyu hurried over, curiosity written all over her face. "Qinglan, what is that plant?"
Bai Ling and the other females also came closer, peering at the strange herb in her basket.
Su Qinglan looked up and explained, "This is Snowleaf Root. It’s very rare. It helps warm a female’s body, especially those who often feel weak or cold. If it’s dried and brewed into tea, it can also help increase fertility and make childbirth safer."
Lin Muyu nodded quickly, listening carefully. "That’s amazing. I’ve never even heard of it before."
But the other females blinked in confusion. They tried to follow her words but soon gave up, exchanging awkward smiles. To them, it all sounded so complicated.
Even Su Mingxuan, who was standing nearby, looked shocked. His brows lifted as he stared at his daughter. "Qinglan, did the Beast God teach you this?" he asked in disbelief.
Su Qinglan froze for a moment. Her fingers tightened slightly on the basket handle. Then she looked up and nodded with a calm smile. "Yes, Father. When I saw it, I just somehow knew what it could be used for."
Su Mingxuan’s eyes softened with pride. He nodded slowly, his deep voice filled with warmth. "The Beast God truly favors you, Qinglan."
Around them, the females’ faces were full of admiration.
They looked at Su Qinglan as if she were glowing. To them, she wasn’t the same Su Qinglan anymore. She had drastically changed and now could even heal females.
Bai Ling looked at the tribe leader’s full, proud expression and could not help but boast even more.
"Tribe leader," she said loudly, her eyes sparkling with admiration, "Qinglan jie is so good. She can be our next witch doctor. She even healed Liu Shan and me."
Her voice was full of pride, and the nearby females nodded along. They had all seen how capable Su Qinglan was.
Su Mingxuan listened with a pleased smile, but some confusion flickered in his eyes. He was happy to hear that his daughter was helping the tribe, but heal people?
He blinked in surprise.
So how did she heal Bai Ling and Liu Shan?
He rubbed his chin, thinking hard.
