He looked perfectly calm, as if stating a simple fact. "My cubs," he repeated. "Since they’re inside you, I will raise them and protect them in the future."

Su Qinglan nearly choked on her own spit. "Wait...wait! No, they’re not yours! I already have a beast husband, thank you very much. He’s alive and kicking!"

She said it without thinking, waving her hand dismissively.

Xuan Long looked genuinely puzzled. "Because he’s not capable of being your mate. You have me now. I’m the most powerful beastman here. You don’t need any other male. Especially not a useless one."
