Ditch My Ex (Gabrielle and Timothy) novel Chapter 2

Chapter 2

As the car rocked and moans sounded, tears streamed down Gabrielle’s face.

She fled the hotel in tears.

Even before their wedding, Timothy had already cheated. She had been deceived for ten years.

Gabrielle had loved Timothy for twenty years. She had liked him since

she was six.

Both came from prominent families in Balamora, and they had grown up together as childhood sweethearts.

Timothy had always looked after her in the school.

They went to school together, came home together, and ate together.

Everyone around them joked that Gabrielle would definitely marry Timothy one day.

Gabrielle believed it, too, but she never knew what Timothy truly thought.

It wasn’t until college graduation that she finally summoned the courage to confess.

Timothy had hesitated at first, but finally, he agreed.

Looking back now, that hesitation may have been because someone else had already occupied his heart.

A ringtone snapped Gabrielle out of her thoughts.

On the other end, Timothy’s voice was gentle. Where did you go? I didn’t see you at the hotel

Gabrielle tried to keep her emotions in check and replied softly, My mom needed something. I left early.

Just as she said, she heard her friends sighing on the other end. She heard Yvonne’s blaming voice, too.

Where are you? I’ll come find you right now!Timothy sounded anxious, too.

It’s fine. I’m already home. Maybe another day.

Before he could respond, Gabrielle ended the call.

Back at home, Gabrielle felt overwhelmed. She turned off her phone and soaked herself in a hot bath.

Lying in the tub, she closed her eyes, thinking back over the past ten

years.

She felt like she was losing her mind. Now that she knew the truth, everything Timothy had done felt suspicious.

After the bath, still feeling restless, she hesitated for a long time before finally turning her phone back on.

She had expected to see dozens of missed calls or messages from Timothy.

But there was nothing but a few messages from Yvonne check.. her.

There was also a friend request from an unknown number.

dozen photos.

All of them were of Timothy and Cecilia, posing together like a couple..

Cecilia’s smile in the photos felt like mockery.

Gabrielle bit her lip so hard that it bled. She had thought she could accept Timothy’s betrayal, but when looking at these pictures, her heart still ached like it had been torn apart.

Curled up on the bed, she felt totally fazed. Her life goal since she was six had been to marry Timothy. Now, she felt lost.

She couldn’t sleep. In the middle of the night, Cecilia sent her a video.

The light was dim and only the panting sound of a man and a woman could be heard. It lasted over forty minutes. Gabrielle watched the whole thing.

At the end of the video, she heard Timothy sigh. I love you.
