Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 347

Jace’s voice was tight, barely controlled, the edge of his anger filling the air. It felt like he might snap at any second.

If Wiona didn’t give him the answer he wanted, he looked like he’d lose it and just drag her out of there. But she didn’t seem the least bit bothered by him.

“I don’t owe you an explanation for why I’m here,” she said coolly.

“Jace, don’t you think you’re a little full of yourself?” Her eyes narrowed. “Get out of my way.”

She paused, then added, “Or my people won’t be so nice.”

As she stepped forward, Nikolai and Drake followed, both of them closing in on Jace. But he stood his ground, refusing to move.

His stare was wild, his eyes almost feverish. “You’re pregnant with my kids,” he said, his voice shaking.

“You can’t just marry someone else while you’re carrying my babies.”

“I know Conrad gave you this huge proposal, but I can offer you anything he can give too.” He swallowed, looking desperate. “I was scared he’d bring you here to get married, so I’ve been waiting outside since yesterday morning.”

“And here you are, just like I thought you’d be.”

“Do you get it? I couldn’t let myself miss a single moment. I was so afraid you’d run off and marry him before I could stop you.”

“Wiona, I know you hate me now. I know you don’t want to give me another chance.” His voice softened, almost pleading. “But can’t you at least think about the kids?”

“Do you really want them growing up with everyone whispering about where they came from, having to deal with people staring at them like that?”

He reached his hand out to her. “Come back to me. We can do this together. We can raise them and give them a real family.”

Jace looked at her, his eyes full of emotion, his hand hanging in the air.

He knew how far he’d fallen. He wasn’t the golden-boy CEO of Salisbury Corporation that everyone respected anymore. But even now, he’d never gone crawling back to his father, never begged to get his old life back.

It took losing everything for him to finally see what really mattered to him. He wanted Wiona. He wanted the life they had before, those quiet days in their little home, before Kellen came back and tore everything apart. There was a time when Wiona surrounded him with her gentle warmth, taking care of him every day and learning how to be a good wife and mom.

He could admit it now. He hadn’t loved her then, not really. Funny how things work out. It wasn’t until he started playing games with her, after every fight, every time she stood up for herself and showed him how strong she was, that he realized he couldn’t look away from her anymore.

But he’d lost her. She left him—because of Kellen, because of his own mistakes, because of all the misunderstandings he let pile up. Jace didn’t get it. He was ready to come back, so why did she think he was beyond forgiveness?

He’d already been forced through a divorce. Now he was supposed to just watch her marry someone else? The thought made him feel like he was going insane.

Today, he’d rather die than let her marry another man with his children.

But Wiona just stared at him and laughed, her smile icy.
