Divorced and Pregnant My New Life with a Billionaire Drives My Ex Crazy novel Chapter 350

“If everything looks good, please sign right here.”

Wiona picked up the pen, but before she could put it to paper, Conrad’s phone started ringing. It was Nikolai.

“Mr. Sullivan, Jace was in a car accident.”

“He’s unconscious… and honestly, it doesn’t look good. He might not make it.”

Conrad’s brow tightened. “What happened?”

Nikolai’s voice was steady. “He just wandered out into the street like he wasn’t all there. Either he wanted it to happen, or it was just a stupid accident.”

Conrad looked over at Wiona. He didn’t really want to bring it up, but he spoke anyway. “Jace might die.”

Wiona didn’t even blink. “Yeah, I heard that.”

She signed her name in one smooth motion and slid the document over to Conrad.

“Your turn.”

He watched her, noticing how completely unaffected she seemed. That was all the proof he needed—Wiona was done with her ex.

Conrad let out a small smile and spoke into his phone, “Call an ambulance for him.”

“Beyond that, whatever happens, happens. Don’t get too involved.”

Once he hung up, someone came to collect their paperwork.

A moment later, two marriage certificates were handed over, one for each of them.

Wiona stared at hers, a little dazed.

“Wait… I’m married again?”

She opened the certificate. Their photo stared back, two people smiling, both looking surprisingly happy.

She was so lost in thought that she didn’t notice Conrad reaching over. He took the certificate right out of her hands.

“I’ll keep these safe.”

With that, he tucked both documents into the inside pocket of his coat.

Wiona just stared at him. Was this what it meant to be under his strict watch now?

“Hey, you can’t just hog them. We each get one—”

She reached out, trying to grab it back. She hadn’t even had a good look.

Conrad caught her hand, pulled her gently into his arms, and held her there. “Hello, Mrs. Sullivan.”

Wiona’s face lit up bright red. She was really married again… just like that?

It still felt unreal.

But in Conrad’s arms, she didn’t feel like pushing him away at all. She even found herself grabbing onto his coat, the two of them standing there as the reality slowly sank in.

“Hello, Mr. Sullivan.”

As soon as they left the registry office, Conrad’s phone buzzed again. He had to go.

“I’ll be home early tonight.”

“Wait for me before you eat, okay?”

“If you get hungry, have a snack, but make sure we have dinner together.”
