“It’s not even the same. Lucian is not even a cheat like you, and you did so many other heinous crimes. I’d be a fool to let you back into my life. You should be grateful I’m standing here talking to you right now.”

Liam’s eyes flashed with hurt. “Oh, really? Wow, do you hate me that much? Am I really not going to get another chance?”

“No. Please, can you leave? You’re disturbing the premises.”

Liam’s face fell, and for a moment, Katie saw a glimmer of the man she once knew.

But it was quickly replaced by anger and resentment.

Liam reached out to grab her hand. “Please,” he whispered, desperately. “What can I do to make up for last time?”

She quickly pulled her hand away. “We’ve been over this topic a hundred times, Liam. When are you going to give up?”

“Never.”

Just then, Lucian walked into the room.

What a timely intervention.

“Is this trouble maker here again?” Lucian groaned.

“Stay out of this. It’s between Katie and I,” Liam countered back.

“Listen, I’ll have to get a restraining rder against you. So you don’t come close to her anymore You’re getting too much.”

“And you think you’re going to be judge of that?” Liam snarled.

Lucian shook his head. “No, you’re not tired? You’re getting the heck out of our lives already We’re all tired of you. Go back to Dakota or go love somebody new or something.”

Katie half snapped, her patience having run out. “Please, I don’t want to have anything to do with you Liam. Do not show yourself in front of me anymore. I’m getting married and starting a family with my new husband, so back off.”

Liam’s face contorted in pain, but he nodded slowly. “Okay, no problem. But this isn’t over yet. I’m never going to let you go, even until I die.”

“Don’t make threats you can’t keep, Liam. Katie’s made her choice, and it’s not you.”

Katie gazed at her reflection in the large mirror, her eyes shining with happiness.

She couldn’t believe her wedding day had finally arrived.

And this time, it was going to go smoothly.

The first time, her wedding had been sabotaged, but now, she was grateful that nobody could ruin her special day.

Dakota, the person responsible for starting the fire that had almost injured her, was already

detained in the pack cell.

Katie felt a sense of relief knowing that particular threat was neutralized.

She was a little uneasy about Maya. But she didn’t think she posed a significant threat.

As she twirled in front of the mirror, admiring her beautiful wedding dress, her heart sank.

She noticed a large cut at the back of her dress.

Her eyes widened in horror.

Someone had snipped her wedding dress with scissors.

Just then, Maya walked into the room, a smirk spreading across her face. “How would you walk to the altar now?”

Katie’s hands clenched into fists as she struggled to contain her anger.

She knew she couldn’t let Maya get to her, not on her wedding day.

But it was hard to stay calm when someone had deliberately sabotaged her dress.

Her fingers itched to claw at her face.

Her face was flushed with anger. “Maya, what the heck? How did you get here and do this?” Maya’s smile was smug. “I have access in and out of the mansion, so I can do whatever I want.”

Lucian already warned you not to come around here. You’re only allowed to stay in the pack

Maya shrugged. “Well, Lucian is not here right now. He’s already waiting for you at the pack hall guess he’s going to be stood up again.”
