Don't get close to me (Linda and Beast) novel Chapter 24

I came to the decision that I just could not turn Linda over to Temper. I was sure that he was not in love with Linda. Something told me that he would hurt her. I can't do that. I can't let anyone else hurt Linda.

When I think of Linda, I think of my sister. She would be angry if I turned a woman over to someone, I didn't even trust. I will face what punishment Snake wants to give me before I hand Linda to them.

I heard that Linda thinks of me as a brother. That is even more reason not to hand her over to them. At least here she is safe. Linda deserves that. She has been physically abused by one man, I won't let another do it too.

I walked out of my room and down the hallway.

"Knuckles, Snake, I need to talk to you."

"Let's go to my office," Knuckles said. After sitting down I looked Snake and Knuckles. I told them everything. When I said she would be safe here, I added, at least as safe as we can keep her.

"I can't give Linda to them. I know they will use her to try to get you to hand over the club. They might even hurt her. I just can't do it. I will accept any punishment you want to give me. All I ask is that you keep her safe."

"They don't want Mary Ann even though you couldn't tell them apart. But they said he could. He differently wants Linda."

" Hell, if we can't tell them apart, how can he tell them apart? Something is not right here Knuckles."

I stared up at the prospect that walked into my office. I was gritting my teeth. When I heard that Linda's face was damaged I threw a stapler at him.

"I want Linda and now you are telling me that you can't get to her. That Animal's brother won't help him?"

"You stupid mother fucker. Get me Linda and I don't care how you do it. "

"And she better not have one mark on her other than what Beast gave her."

"Boss why not get Mary Ann? They are identical twin sisters, other than the scar Linda now has on her face."

"You do not need to know why I want Linda."

"That is none of your business. Let's just say that no one seems to be able to protect her there or keep her safe."

"And our club can."

"Temper, I don't get it. Why are you after her so bad? We both know you don't love Linda."

"Again that is none of your business. Go tell, Cutter I want to see him."

I kicked the trash can against the wall. I am sick of prospects questioning me. I was looking out the window when the door opened.

"You wanted to see me Temper?"

I sighed. "Close the door Cutter and have a seat."

"Animal's brother is refusing to help him bring Linda to me."

"Temper, she is with your sister, no one can protect her as much as Psycho can and will."

"Cutter, Linda needs to come here."

"Beast hit her and now she has a scar from her forehead to her chin."

"Linda needs plastic surgery now. So she looks like Mary Ann again."

"Arizona should have kept his VP in line. He didn't do that now my sister is scared."

"I want my sister here, with me."

"You don't get it, Cutter."

"Temper, she is your half-sister, you don't have the same father."

"Linda and Mary Ann are my sisters."

"Mary Ann was taken, they told her dad she was dead."

"Lina raised us and I want my sister here. She protected us, she cooked, cleaned, clothed us, and helped us with our school work."

"It is my turn to protect her."

"I want my sister here within the week."

"One more thing. Have you found Randy yet?"

"He was spotted heading to Sidney, Ohio."

"Three members are following him."

"New Yorker said they should have him in three days."

"Good, when they catch him, I want him in the cells."

"Temper, they say that her back, it is scared bad."

"She has been depressed, she has tried to kill herself twice, and she does not trust men."

I was walking in the clubhouse with my new dog when I heard a familiar voice. Precious, that sounds like my brother. I looked up as Temper turned and looked at me. I ran across the room and jumped into his arms.

"Temper, where have you been?"

"Linda, I came to take you home with me."

"Apparently no one seems to be able to keep you safe."

"I looked down at the floor after Temper stood me on my feet."

"What is it Linda, you can tell me."

"Lean down. I whispered in Temper's ear. I want to stay here with Snake. I like him. But I don't think he likes me"

I stood up and looked at her. I threw my head back and laughed. "Linda, he...Don't say it Temper."

"She wants to stay here with Snake. "

I turned my head and looked at Linda in shock. I saw the chance on her face. She kicked Temper in the thigh, yelled, "I told you not to say it."

Then she looked at me again and ran out the door toward the gates. I was stupid for telling my brother I liked Snake. I saw the shock on his face. I ran past the members sitting near the gate with tears running down my face.

I knew with this scar on my face he wouldn't look at me twice. I looked up to see Linda running toward the gates. She was fast. She was out of them and running across the road toward the woods. I heard the members yelling for her to stop. Come back.

"Psycho, Linda is crying."

I stormed into the club yelling just as Mary Ann ran inside. "What the hell is going on? Why is Linda crying and running toward the woods?"

Bones was yelling at the member to find Linda now. Bring her back. I saw Temper glaring at Snake. "Temper what the fuck are you doing here?"

"I came to get my sister and bring her home with me."

"Then when she told me she wanted to stay here with Snake I laughed."

"She likes this dumb fucker and what does he do when he hears she likes him?"

"Nothing."

"She ran."

"For someone who asked permission from Bones to date here tell me why he is still sitting there instead of running after her?"
