Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 254

James didn’t bother with a bag. He just carried the box in his hand and headed back.

The elevator doors slid open with a soft chime.

He was about to step in when he saw his older brother Tyler sitting in a wheelchair, being pushed out by his assistant.

Tyler spotted him and gave him a warm, teasing grin.

“Slept well last night, huh? So, how are you going to thank me?”

James just shot him a look, lips pressed in a thin, icy line. He didn’t say anything—just walked straight into the elevator.

The doors slowly closed.

Tyler watched the elevator doors shut and shook his head at his assistant, half amused, half helpless.

“See that? He still doesn’t appreciate me.”

The assistant hesitated, then lowered his voice.

“Mr. Nelson, I think… the young master was holding a box of women’s pads.”

Tyler’s smile froze for a split second.

Pads?

He suddenly got it. His brow knitted tight.

Seriously? What are the chances?

No wonder James looked like someone had stolen his life savings.

Still…

Tyler’s frown softened and a small, knowing smile tugged at his lips.

Actually, that’s good news. Means that woman’s healthy—perfect for giving the Nelson family its next heir.

He felt a lot more at ease and turned to his assistant, voice casual.

“Let’s go. Take me to Nelson Corporation.”

When Emmy came out of the bathroom, she’d already changed into clean clothes.

The sheets from the bed—still stained with blood—had been pulled off and tossed in a ball into the laundry basket in the corner.

She looked awkward.

“I, uh, should probably talk to the manager. See how much I owe them for the sheets…”

James shook his head.

Emmy stared straight ahead, just wanting to walk past him.

But as she passed, Dean suddenly stepped forward—wincing in pain—and grabbed her wrist.

“You’re in love with him, aren’t you?”

His voice was rough, thick with accusation and hurt.

Emmy tried to pull her hand away, but he just held on tighter.

She looked him right in the eye, her smile icy.

“That’s right. I love him. I love him so much. Now let me go.”

Dean’s eyes went red, stubbornly refusing to let her go.

“I don’t believe you! You love me. You always have! There’s no way you could love someone else!”

“Dean, how long are you going to keep being this full of yourself?”

“If you can fall for Evelina, why can’t I fall for someone else?”

She paused, letting all the anger show in her eyes.

“And just so you know, the moment I found those hidden photos of Evelina, all I felt for you was hate.”
