Dumped My Cheating Ex. Now I'm Sleeping Next to a Billionaire CEO novel Chapter 426

Emmy barely had time to react before a woman pressed a cloth soaked in some sharp, chemical smell over her mouth and nose from behind.

The woman must not have expected Emmy to be so alert because she acted fast and vicious, not giving Emmy a chance to fight back.

Everything went black in an instant. Emmy’s body went limp and she collapsed to the floor, her consciousness slipping away.

Outside the restroom, one of the bodyguards caught the faint sound of a struggle and immediately burst through the door.

“Ms. Lincoln, are you alright?”

But the tall, thin woman had already dragged Emmy’s body into the nearest stall and slammed the door shut.

A second later, an impatient female voice snapped from inside the stall, sounding almost exactly like Emmy.

“What are you guys doing? This is the ladies’ room! Get out!”

The bodyguards glanced at each other, looking relieved and a little awkward. Embarrassed, they backed out and stood guard at the door again.

Once the hallway was quiet and the footsteps faded, the tall woman opened the stall door.

She easily hoisted Emmy’s unconscious body, popped open the lid of a big garbage cart, and stuffed her inside.

After closing the lid, she pushed the trash cart out of the restroom like nothing unusual had happened, moving calmly down the hall.

Across the building, Abriella was practically shouting into the phone, “How many times do I have to say this? No comment! Call again and I’m reporting you!”

She hung up, frustrated, and turned just in time to see Dean rushing up the stairs.

Her face darkened. She stepped in front of him, blocking his path.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

“You need to leave,” she snapped. “Stop trying to get near Emmy every chance you get!”

Dean was out of breath and his eyes were wild with panic. He dodged around her, desperate. “Where’s Emmy? Just tell me, where is she?”

Seeing him so frantic, like he might fall apart any second, Abriella just crossed her arms and rolled her eyes.

“Not telling you. Let’s see how you like it for once.”

Abriella stopped in her tracks and ran into the office, her voice shaking. “Doctor, what’s wrong with her?”

“Where is Emmy?” Dr. Townsend looked confused.

“She’s missing!” Abriella’s eyes were red and wild. “Please, just tell me—what did the tests say?”

Dr. Townsend blinked in surprise, then pointed to the report. “She’s pregnant. Her HCG levels are very high. The ultrasound shows she’s expecting twins.”

Abriella stared, stunned. “What? She’s really pregnant? With twins?”

“The report is correct,” Dr. Townsend said firmly. “But… how did she just disappear?”

Abriella barely heard any of it. Hands shaking, she called her cousin.

At first it went straight to voicemail, but after several tries James finally picked up.

“What’s wrong?”

Abriella’s voice cracked. “James—Emmy’s gone. I think she’s been kidnapped. And she just found out she’s pregnant—with twins!”
