Enchanted Nightfall Falling for Destiny (Quintessa and Tyrone) novel Chapter 400

After delivering her scathing words, Quintessa added with a smirk, watching Mrs. Harrington’s face turn an ugly shade of green, “Of course, I wouldn’t do anything now. After all, I belong to Tyrone. You’re lucky you dodged a bullet.”

Mrs. Harrington turned a deep shade of purple, barely managing to spit out, “Slut.”

Quintessa shrugged, “Guilty as charged! But, darling, men these days just can’t resist a woman like me. As for someone as old and unattractive as you, well, who’d give you a second glance? Alexander got hurt and ended up in the hospital, and his father didn’t even bother to visit. Seems like your standing in the Harrington family isn’t all that, huh? A husband who doesn’t care about his own son, how much do you think he cares about his wife? Maybe your place in his heart is already on thin ice. I thought you were smarter, but it turns out you’re just a fool.”

A smart person would know to secure their husband’s heart first, but Mrs. Harrington… she was too busy making enemies everywhere else.

Quintessa’s words pierced Mrs. Harrington’s heart. She had fought with her husband about this very issue that morning, to no avail.

She pretended to have a high standing in her household, trying to maintain a facade of importance, but deep down, she knew the real score.

Her husband was seeing other women, not just one, but what could she do? She had no choice but to pretend ignorance.

“As long as I’m Mrs. Harrington, I can trample sluts like you under my foot.”

Quintessa walked a few steps then stopped, turning back with a thought, “Considering your face is already swollen, I guess you wouldn’t mind it getting a bit more swollen, huh?”

Mrs. Harrington…

The sound of a crisp slap echoed through the stairwell as if bouncing off the walls.

Quintessa shook her slightly numb hand as she turned into the corridor, just in time to see Tyrone and Mrs. York stepping out.

Tyrone was saying, “I told you it was nothing. Doing all these checks, isn’t it just a waste of time?”

Tyrone wrapped an arm around Quintessa, “Seems like it was a friendly exchange. Mom, let’s head home.”

Mrs. York nodded, “Yes, let’s go home!”

Mrs. Harrington watched the three of them, appearing like a close-knit family, filled with warmth and love.

She clenched her fists, and then from behind, Alexander’s voice came, “Mom, let’s go.”

Mrs. Harrington suddenly turned around, delivering a fierce slap.
