Tyrone scoffed, "You still dare say you're my girl? What did Andrew say?"

Quintessa honestly replied, "He asked what Sean and I discussed."

"And what did you talk about?"

With Manny and Molly around, Quintessa hesitated to speak freely, so she said, "Everything you could imagine."

Tyrone frowned, "Andrew's not going to let you have your way. I'm heading back now. I've already alerted Kevin. If you need anything before I return, you can reach out to him. I'll give you his contact info. Remember, don't try to be a hero."

Quintessa nodded, "Yeah, got it."

"You shouldn't stay on your own anymore. I've talked to my mom; you'll stay at my place for the nights."

Quintessa was surprised, "Huh?"

"Is Andrew really going to harm me?" Quintessa asked.

Tyrone responded without hesitation, "Yes, I know him better than you. You think you're bad, but compared to him, you're not even one percent as wicked. Don't think I'm joking. Listen to me, never be careless."

Quintessa nodded, "Okay, got it."

Tyrone cursed under his breath, "Damn it, if that jerk dares touch a hair on your head, I'll chop him up the minute I get back."

Quintessa's lips curved up, asking, "What are you doing?"

Tyrone replied, "Missing you!"

Quintessa's smile widened, "Missing me for what?"

Tyrone sighed deeply, "Missing you. If I were in Emberbrook right now, I'd have climbed into your bed already, instead of facing a bunch of old men abroad."
