"Wow..." Molly couldn't help but exclaim from behind Quintessa, clapping her hands in admiration, her eyes filled with nothing but adoration for her.
Quintessa and Andrew both turned to look, making Molly realize perhaps her timing wasn't the best. She quickly lowered her hands and chuckled sheepishly, hiding a bit more behind Quintessa.
A cold glint flashed in Andrew's eyes. "It seems, Ms. Young isn't planning on giving me any respect."
Quintessa nodded. "Of course, I'll give it."
Molly looked at Quintessa in surprise. Was her idol not going to protect her?
Then, Quintessa said leisurely, "But... that's only if you deserve any respect to begin with. How can I give you respect if you don't have any? Insisting on it despite that would be unreasonable, wouldn't it?"
Molly instantly felt Quintessa's image grow even taller in her heart, now surrounded by a halo of admiration. My idol, my favorite, my love!
Andrew's face darkened, the chill emanating from him growing stronger. He suddenly smiled. "Today, I truly see Ms. Young's cunning."
Andrew had always looked down on Quintessa, thinking she could only have gotten this far by selling herself and being somewhat clever.
But today, without Tyrone, facing Quintessa alone, he realized this woman was not to be underestimated. Her words were sharp as arrows.
Quintessa scoffed, "Flattery, Mr. Yates, I can't compare to you!"
"So, no matter what, you won't hand over your little assistant to me?"
Quintessa smiled. "The day you become the president of the U.S., I'll surely hand her over to you."
In other words—don't hold your breath!
Andrew nodded. "Well then, I'll have to be less polite..."
