Chapter 181
The sole of Sienna’s shoe slapped Amanda’s face over and over, each strike a relentless, degrading blow that stripped her of every shred of dignity.
Amanda didn’t dare move a muscle.
“Whether you stay or go is entirely up to me,” Sienna said with careless amusement, withdrawing her foot. “If you don’t learn to be an obedient little pet, you’ll be tossed out onto the street right alongside Beatriz, kicked out of the Cooper family for good.”
Sienna grabbed Amanda by the collar and flung her out of the room like she was nothing more than garbage.
The door slammed shut behind her with a sharp bang.
Amanda stood in the hallway, hands shaking with rage. Her cheeks stung from the beating, and the humiliation was almost unbearable.
She was so mad she could scream, but all she could do was clench her teeth, choking down every bit of her fury.
She didn’t even dare make a scene. Ashamed and frantic, she bolted straight back to her own room.
With a heavy bang, she slammed the door shut behind her.
Staring into the mirror, Amanda could barely recognize herself–her cheeks were swollen and burning, her hair in wild disarray, her eyes puffy and red. She looked every bit as miserable as she felt.
Consumed by rage, Amanda shrieked, grabbing anything within reach and furiously hurling it to the floor, barely caring what she destroyed.
The objects slammed to the ground with a loud, grating crash, the harsh clatter cutting through the silence of her room.
She kept screaming, no longer caring who could hear–she just needed to let all the anger out.
‘What did I do to deserve this?‘ Amanda fumed, her thoughts swirling with bitter frustration.
‘That hick from the boondocks–what gives her the right to treat me like this?‘ Amanda seethed, her anger reaching the breaking point.
‘Mom and Dad would never let me be treated like dirt. How does that backwater brat even dare?‘ Amanda raged inwardly, heart pounding with indignation.
Just then, a knock sounded at her door.
Amanda’s sobs and screams cut off instantly, her heart skipping a beat.
Her eyes shot instantly to the closed door.

‘Wait… could that be Mom? Amanda wondered, a tiny spark of hope flickering in her chest.
‘Has she finally come to comfort me, to tell me it’s all going to be okay? Amanda thought, her heart twisting with longing.
Amanda balled her hands, a faint glimmer of hope sparking inside her.
She just wanted to rush into her mom’s arms, hold her tight, and cry her heart out about everything she’d been through.
But, seeing the chaos all over her room and catching a glimpse of herself–she looked like a total disaster.
‘There’s no way I could open the door now, Amanda thought, panic flooding her chest.
‘How could I ever let Mom see me like this?‘ Amanda worried, shame burning inside her.
Amanda scrambled upright, frantically wiping away her tears and running her fingers through her tangled hair, doing her best to hide any sign she’d been crying. She forced her voice to sound normal. “I’m sleeping… I’m not feeling well, just want to rest…”
But it was Beatriz’s voice, quiet and low, coming from outside the door. “Miss Amanda, it’s me, Beatriz.”
Amanda blinked in surprise.
‘Not Mom… she thought, disappointment washing over her.
‘Seriously? She still hasn’t even come to look for me?‘ Amanda bit back a sob, feeling more alone than ever.
The hurt settled in Amanda’s chest, bitter and heavy–she could almost feel the tears coming back again.
‘Maybe what I really need right now is just someone here with me, Amanda thought, her heart aching for a little comfort.
She hesitated, nerves running high, then finally forced herself to get up and open the door.
Beatriz was waiting outside, clutching a small first–aid kit, her eyes darting nervously down the hallway. She hurried in and shut the door tight behind her.
Beatriz’s eyes widened the moment she saw Amanda–her face bruised and swollen, those streaks of tears, and the whole place trashed. For a second, her heart just sank.
“Oh, my precious girl!” Beatriz exclaimed, her voice thick with worry. “How could you end up like this? That brat from the sticks is absolutely vicious!”
Amanda looked at the medical kit in Beatriz’s hands, then at the worry etched deeply across her face, feeling a tight, sour ache in her chest. “Beatriz, you… how did you even get here…?”
‘Wasn’t she sent off to the back garden and banned from coming near the main house by Mom?‘ Amanda wondered, a jumble of confusion and relief rising inside her.
Beatriz grabbed Amanda’s hand and sat her down, fussing over her like she always did. “I’ve been with the

Cooper family for so long–of course, I’ve got a couple folks on my side. The maid who cleans the second floor, Yvonne? She’s one of mine.
“The moment she saw you come out of that girl’s room looking roughed up, she rushed to tell me. I waited. for Mrs. Cooper and the others to head off for a rest, then sneaked up here as quietly as I could.
Beatriz opened up the first–aid kit and carefully treated Amanda’s bruises, fussing non–stop. “How could that brat from the countryside hit you so hard? Miss Amanda, why didn’t you shout for someone? If Mr. and Mrs. Cooper saw for themselves how she treats you…”
Listening to Beatriz’s words and seeing her worried face while gently doctoring her wounds, Amanda’s heart twisted with pain.
The agony and humiliation she’d been bottling up finally overflowed.
She couldn’t hold it in any longer–so vulnerable and upset she felt completely shattered inside.
Amanda flung her arms around Beatriz and sobbed helplessly. “Beatriz… You’re the only one who really cares about me! In this whole Cooper family, only you ever look out for me! What kind of heiress am I–if I can’t even keep you, does all this mean anything at all?”
“Mom kicked you out just to make that Sienna happy–she doesn’t care how I feel at all! Now everyone in this family is wrapped around Sienna’s finger, and all they ever do is team up against me and push me around. What’s even the point of me being part of the Cooper family anymore?”
She kept sobbing, tears streaming as she felt her world completely falling apart.
Beatriz gently patted Amanda’s back, her eyes glinting with loyal fury. “Miss Amanda, don’t even think like that! You’re the real heiress in this family–Sienna’s nothing but trouble. She’s just strutting around because she’s got some Cooper blood and everyone’s feeling sorry for her these days. That’s all it is!
“If she’s bold enough to treat you this way today, just wait–she’ll have no problem tossing all of us out tomorrow! Just look at the way she acts, like she’s gonna take over everything and kick you straight to the curb!
“If you start thinking like that, you’re playing right into that brat’s hands!
“Miss Amanda, listen to me. If Mr. and Mrs. Cooper can treat you like this now, who knows what else they’ll do for her… They might even toss you out someday, all for her.”
Beatriz trailed off, worried Amanda might lose it completely, then sighed, her voice gentle but serious. “You really have to start looking out for yourself. You’re so soft–hearted and naive, there’s no way you could handle that sly, two–faced girl from the countryside unless you toughen up.”
Amanda’s sobs became even more desperate, her heart wracked by jealousy and bitter injustice.
Hell no–she wasn’t going to let them kick her out like yesterday’s trash.
No way was she going to lose being the Cooper heiress, or give up this privileged life she’d always had!
“But… but what am I supposed to do?” Amanda stammered between sobs, completely lost and hopeless.
Everyone in her family was totally on Sienna’s side now.
Even Mason, the one she’d always wanted to hold onto, was completely under Sienna’s spell.
‘What am I supposed to do now?‘ Amanda thought, feeling utterly helpless.
“There’s always a way,” Beatriz whispered, her tone turning cold and sly. “Miss Amanda, never forget–your enemy’s enemy is your friend. And trust me, you’re not the only one who wants to see that girl ruined… there’s someone out there who hates her with a passion.”
Amanda’s sobs hiccupped to a stop, her head snapping up. “You mean… that woman the Fairbank family just reclaimed?”
Beatriz nodded, still rubbing her back. “Exactly. That real heiress the Fairbanks found, and her mother–right now they’d probably tear that brat limb from limb if they could.”
Amanda stopped sobbing, her eyes locked on Beatriz, staring at her with intense focus.
Beatriz leaned closer, her voice dropping to a crafty whisper. “Tomorrow’s the coming–of–age party for Miss Brown, right? You already sent them the invitations, didn’t you? Trust me, they wouldn’t miss this for the world–it’s the perfect chance for them to squeeze their way into high society.”
Amanda nodded slowly, her mind spinning with possibilities. “So you mean…” she whispered.
