I was overwhelmed by this unbelievable humiliation. I was unceremoniously kicked out of the office by Benjamin, dragged out as if I were nothing but discarded junk.

In the corridor, the low-level employees’ stares were palpable. Their eyes were filled with undisguised snooping, disdain, and a sickening sense of schadenfreude. I was so embarrassed I could barely stand it. The air was thick with their pheromones, a nauseating blend that made me want to gag.

How could Benjamin do this to me? How dared he look at me with such utter contempt, as if I were a mere speck of dust? How could he use that cold, authoritative tone to declare my expulsion?

Fuming, I dashed back to my small office, which had once offered me a moment of hope. My belongings had been haphazardly stuffed into a cardboard box, tossed in like unwanted rubbish. The whispers around me grew louder and clearer.

“See? I knew she’d get the boot,” one voice sneered.

“An outsider Omega thinking she could replace Natalie? Give me a break,” another scoffed.

“I heard she bonded with Mr. Richardson. No wonder Mr. Benjamin Richardson stepped in personally,” a hushed voice murmured.

“Can’t even keep her pheromones in check. What use is she?” someone else jeered.

They knew nothing! Landon and I were truly fated mates, united under the watchful eye of the Moon Goddess. We had Nathan, our pure-blooded pup. It was the Richardson family, especially that old witch Grace, who had torn us apart. And now, Benjamin was trying to destroy the little bit of stability I’d managed to regain.

“Ms. Cooper, here are your things,” a Beta employee said, his false politeness failing to mask the underlying disrespect in his pheromones as he handed me the box.

As I looked at the contents of the box, symbols of my hard-won efforts, my anger and humiliation boiled over. I lashed out, knocking the box to the floor. The items scattered everywhere, making a loud, embarrassing racket.

“What the hell are you looking at?” I shrieked. My Omega pheromones were out of control, a potent mix of searing anger and raw pain. “You lowlifes have no right to talk about me!”

But my outburst only earned me more silence and even more blatant disdain. They stared at me like I was a deranged fool, a total failure. I felt my face flush with shame, as if I’d been stripped bare in the freezing cold. Unable to bear their judgmental looks any longer, I fled the Richardson Group building like a beaten dog.

The frigid air filled my lungs, but it did nothing to cool the white-hot hatred burning inside me. It was all Natalie’s fault! That pesky half-breed. If she hadn’t quit, Landon wouldn’t be in this mess, the company wouldn’t be in disarray, and Benjamin wouldn’t have had an excuse to humiliate and expel me.

Benjamin’s POV:

I was standing by the floor-to-ceiling window of the top-floor office in the Richardson Group, overlooking the bustling city below.

Stupidity. Such soft-hearted nonsense. That was what I thought of my son, Landon.

For an Omega who didn’t even deserve a second look, he almost toppled Thorn Pack. Did he even get it? In the werewolf realm, power and competence mattered way more than those mushy feelings.

Natalie’s departure? A clear warning. Sure, her bloodline might be a bit hazy, but her skills brought real benefits to the pack. Landon, that idiot, couldn’t hold onto her and ended up exposing all the mess.

Aaliyah getting kicked out of the company was such a no-brainer. I didn’t even want to waste my breath on her. Whether she signed that agreement or not, it was all the same. Five years ago, I made her disappear once; I could do it again. This time, out of pity for Landon’s stupid stubbornness, I left her a bit of dignity. If she were smart, she’d just vanish.

As for Landon, he badly needed a wake-up call. Despite being my flesh and blood and the supposed heir, in front of the pack’s interests and absolute power, family ties weren’t an excuse for his recklessness. The shareholders backed someone who could bring stability and profit, not a guy who was won over by an Omega’s pheromones and couldn’t even control his own “mate”.
