Brandon said, “I heard many companies have tried to partner with Litech NaLabs for their algorithm, but they’ve all been rejected.
“Bella, what are our chances this time?”
Bella replied, “We’ve prepared thoroughly. If we can secure this partnership, the annual profits for both the Blake and Mercer families could increase by at least five times.”
Brandon’s mind raced. A fivefold increase should be enough to pull the Mercer family out of its financial crisis completely.
After a moment of thought, Brandon suddenly said, “If only we could meet the developer of the Li Algorithm.”
Bella replied, “They’re probably overseas. It would be very difficult to get in contact with them.”
When they arrived at the Litech NaLabs building, Bella’s team was already waiting for them.
There were two men and one woman. The woman was Bella’s best friend and assistant, Hannah Quinn.
The other two were high-level managers from the Blake Group.
They immediately greeted Bella as she approached.
The executives addressed her politely, “Miss Ward.”
Hannah, carrying her bag, quickly fell into step behind Bella.
Bella exuded an aura of confidence, the epitome of a corporate elite. “Mr. Mercer is joining us today. He’ll be observing.”
The Blake and Mercer families had worked together for years, so everyone knew each other.
In recent years, Bella had increasingly taken on the role of the matriarch-in-waiting of the Blake Group, so no one questioned her decisions.
Just as the group was about to enter the building, a ride-share pulled up beside them.
Lillian got out of the car, casually thanking the driver.
She was holding her resume and, glancing at the time, hurried towards the company entrance.
She was in such a rush that she didn't even notice the group of people standing nearby.
However, as she walked in, both Brandon and Bella’s eyes locked onto her, their brows furrowing in unison.
They were both shocked: *What is she doing here?*
Lillian, following the interview process, had naturally coordinated with Nathan beforehand.
Although Nathan had an office waiting for her, he respected her decision.
He didn't think it was a bad idea for her to start from the bottom. In fact, it would allow her to become familiar with all aspects of the company’s operations, which would help her get up to speed more quickly.
Still, when Nathan heard she was coming in today, he planned to personally give her a tour of the company and show her the office he had prepared for her after her interview.
He had put a lot of effort into that office—top-of-the-line computers and everything they had ever dreamed of.
He was confident that the moment Lillian saw it, she would be motivated to reclaim her spot in that office as soon as possible.
It was, after all, the dream of their youth.
Meanwhile, Lillian was at the front desk. “I’m here for an interview with Mr. Pierce in the HR department. Could you please tell me how to get there?”
