Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 226

Mr. Wyatt

George Glenn spoke, his words slow and deliberate. “We believe Serena has done nothing wrong. So, no matter what, the Glenn family will not be pulling our sponsorship.”

The entire meeting room fell into stunned silence.

Just moments ago, several people had been waiting to see Christian embarrassed, but now, every single one of them looked utterly shocked.

The two other Donovan family members sitting at the table frowned, both turning their attention to George Glenn.

Wyatt couldn’t hold back. “Mr. George, are you sure about this? Did you even discuss this with your brother?”

Christian snapped out of his daze and shot Wyatt a vicious glare. “Shut up! Mr. George is speaking.”

The bruises on Wyatt’s face hadn’t even faded yet, and now, his temper was flaring again. He was about to fire back at Christian.

But George Glenn, already growing impatient, cut them off. “Enough already! I’m not mistaken. That’s how things stand. The Glenn family supports Serena. There’s no reason for her to withdraw, and we sponsored this show because we believe in her talent. If she pulls out, what happens to our advertising investment?”

Wyatt and Christian’s older brother exchanged a quick glance with the man beside them, who understood the cue and spoke up. “Mr. George, I hear you’re something of a fanboy—particularly when it comes to Serena. But business is business. You can’t just ignore your brother and act recklessly.”

George Glenn finally lost his patience. He slammed his hand on the table and stood up.

“What do you mean, ‘acting recklessly without my brother’s approval’?” George towered over everyone, voice stiff with authority. “Our family’s relationship is just fine, thank you very much. What I’m saying today is the result of a unanimous decision among all three of us!”

“And besides—”

He swept a fierce gaze across the table. “So what if I, George Glenn, admire Serena?”

“Let me make this perfectly clear. I, George Glenn, stand firmly behind Serena!”

Was there something going on that everyone else didn’t know about?

“Our Mr. Erickson also wanted me to add one thing,” the Erickson rep continued. “Any ad slots or sponsorships vacated over this issue—the Erickson Group will buy them all.”

“Hey!” George Glenn protested. “Now you’re stealing my line! My brother said the same. The Glenn family too!”

“Doesn’t matter how many are up for grabs—we’ll take them all.” George said firmly.

With that, the other sponsors began to waver. Phones came out as they hurried to contact their companies, asking for guidance, looking for answers.

After all, the Glenn family hadn’t even sponsored the first three rounds. If they were suddenly so invested in Serena, it had to be because of her explosive performance in the third round—her popularity and obvious talent.

So maybe, the Glenns were betting on Serena’s commercial value—and George’s bit of personal fandom didn’t hurt either.
