### Chapter 10

A tidal wave of bitterness and remorse surged through him, overwhelming his senses.

Emerging from the shadows, each step he took was laden with an intensity that radiated fury.

The laughter that had once filled the living room was abruptly silenced, as if someone had flipped a switch.

Leah’s victorious smile froze upon the sight of his face—pale, contorted with an unmistakable rage. The terror that replaced her grin was palpable.

“Stellan…?” she whispered, her voice trembling.

But Stellan didn’t spare her a glance. His icy gaze swept over Oceane first, who flinched at his presence, nearly dropping the wine glass she clutched tightly in her hand.

“Get out,” he commanded, his voice a low growl, yet it resonated with the power of destruction.

Oceane and the others scrambled to exit the house, their hurried movements echoing the urgency of the moment.

Now, it was just Stellan and Leah, standing in the stark emptiness of the living room, the silence heavy and suffocating.

“Stellan, what’s wrong? Did you drink too much?” Leah attempted to maintain her composure, reaching out to steady him, her voice laced with concern.

But Stellan violently shoved her hand away, the force of it causing her to stumble and crash to the floor.

He crouched low, seizing her chin with a grip that was both firm and unyielding, compelling her to meet his gaze.

“Tell me,” he demanded, his voice raw, almost a whisper but filled with a storm of emotions.

“The depression. Was it all a lie?” he pressed, his eyes searching hers for the truth.

Leah’s pupils dilated in fear. She instinctively sought to fabricate a response. “No, Stellan, let me explain—”

“The letter and the death certificate. You forged them, didn’t you?” he interrupted, his grip tightening painfully.

Tears streamed down Leah’s cheeks, glistening like crystals against her flushed skin.

“The people at the hospital who accused Ella—you paid them off, didn’t you?” he continued, his voice gaining intensity.

“And what about the last time—when Ella was kidnapped and sent to that hellhole for electroshock therapy? That was you too, wasn’t it?!”

Each accusation struck her like a sledgehammer, dismantling Leah’s carefully constructed facade.

In his eyes, she recognized the murderous intent and understood—this was the end.

The magnificent castle of deceit she had built was crumbling, its foundations shattered by Stellan’s relentless inquiries.

Under the brutal pressure of his interrogation, Leah’s defenses collapsed entirely.

She confessed everything through sobs that wracked her body.

How she had deliberately ingratiated herself to him from the very beginning.

How she had staged that “accidental” kiss and had pushed Ella down the stairs with malicious intent.

How she had feigned depression to garner sympathy and manipulate his feelings.
