Girl's Doomsday Rebirth Revenge & Survive novel Chapter 401

**Doomsday Rebirth 401**
**Chapter 401: Invisible Intruder**

As the elevator came to a halt, the metallic doors slid open with a soft hiss, but to Caroline’s surprise, no one emerged from within. The hallway stretched out before her, desolate and silent, devoid of any sign of life or the familiar sound of footsteps echoing off the walls. An unsettling stillness hung in the air, thick enough to cut through.

Then, from behind the sealed door on the 64th floor, a faint sound broke the uneasy silence—a soft, almost incredulous, “Huh?” It was as if someone had just stumbled upon the door, taken aback by its very presence.

The lock on that door began to turn, the mechanism clicking and whirring as if someone were delicately manipulating it. The unseen intruder was cautious, moving with a deliberate slowness, as if aware that any sudden movement might betray their presence.

Yet, despite their careful efforts, the door remained stubbornly shut.

At that moment, Caroline, oblivious to the hidden danger, hurried over to the door. With a quick flick of her wrist, she unlocked it and stepped out, her mind racing with thoughts of the promising new drug Nelson had developed. It was still in the experimental phase, but she was eager to send a batch down to assist some critically ill patients. The urgency of her mission propelled her forward.

As she moved toward the elevator, a sudden chill crept down her spine, an instinctive warning that sent alarm bells ringing in her mind. She spun around, her heart pounding, but the hallway behind her was empty, eerily devoid of any presence.

Caroline’s brow furrowed in confusion. Could it be that the protective suit she was wearing was distorting her perception? Was her mind playing tricks on her? She shook her head, dismissing the thought as she firmly locked the door behind her before descending in the elevator, unaware that the moment she stepped into the lift, an invisible entity had slipped silently onto the 64th floor.

This unseen figure moved with purpose and stealth, swiftly ascending to the 66th floor.

Meanwhile, Raven, who had been sprawled lazily on the floor, suddenly sprang to his feet, his instincts kicking in as he turned his gaze toward the door, alert and on edge.

Noticing Raven’s sudden shift, Jet tilted his head in curiosity and asked, “What’s got you all riled up?” His ears perked up, straining to catch any sound that might indicate danger lurking just outside.

In Tyler’s room, Snow had been happily gnawing on a toy when she abruptly straightened, her senses heightened. Silver, ever vigilant, fixed his gaze on the door, his body tense and ready.

The four of them—Raven, Jet, Snow, and Silver—were all highly attuned to their surroundings, their mutated instincts finely tuned to detect even the slightest hint of danger.

After a few tense moments of silence, Raven bolted toward the door, with Jet hot on his heels. They worked in tandem, pushing it open with a sense of urgency.

As they stepped out, they were met by the sight of Snow and Silver joining them. The four of them formed a peculiar yet formidable little group, each one radiating a sense of determination.

Raven and Snow began to sniff the air, their keen senses working overtime to detect any unusual scents.
