The Rogue Alpha and the Werewolf King (by Hailey Kristine) novel Chapter 11

Chapter 11

Warrick’s POV

When I reach the border I see them. There are 15 witches, half the size of a normal coven

standing outside our border. They were just standing there.

My warriors were standing there waiting for the witches to cross the border, trying to push the witches by occasionally throwing some magic at them. The witches just swatted the magic away like it was a minor inconvenience, a bug if you will. A few warriors were groaning on the

ground. I looked toward Henry questioningly.

I thought you said they were attacking?I ask. He shrugs.

I was told that they were causing trouble and some warriors were wounded. They made it seem urgent.” He said. I roll my eyes and walk towards the border, eyeing the witches. There is a man who is around 6ft and bulky. He is standing slightly in front of the rest, but they are all holding hands.

What is your purpose here?I ask and he has an amused smirk, but doesn’t say anything.

What coven are you from?I ask, trying to scent them, there is nothing, but even if I could scent them it isn’t like I know the scent of each coven to even try and place them.

The man continues to smirk and stare. My warriors are getting nervous and Viggo is getting

pi*sed at being disrespected.

I asked what are you doing here?I demand, forming fire in one hand and water in my other. The man begins to chuckle. He locks his haunted blue eyes with mine.

When two become one, the final battle will begin and all will be blessed from the moon. If the two become broken, all will perish leaving nothing in the wake of dawn.He says, confusing

  1. me.

What the hell doesBefore I could finish asking what this lunatic was saying, three people appeared behind the witches and they all disappeared. Henry turned towards me.

What the hell just happened? He asked me like I know. Before I could give him my snarky

remark I get a mind link.

Warrick. Something happened at the pack house, we need you back hereMy mother sobs through my head. Panic engulfs me as I turn and shift back into my wolf, sprinting to the

packhouse. Henry is not far behind me.

When I reach the packhouse, I run through some shorts and run up to my office. When I open the door I see the girls there with my mother, who must have arrived shortly after I left. My

mother is holding the girls, who are crying. I take in the broken window and I am bewildered. Nothing could have broken that window.

Where is she?I ask when I register that the rogue is not in the room.

She.. She left.Nali says between sobs.

What do you mean she left?I ask, gritting my teeth and letting my aura seep out.

Sh.. She said that.. That she was going home.Tali answers, trembling from my anger. I try to

reign in my aura to not scare the girls, but it doesn’t work that well.

Girls what happened?I ask looking towards them. Nalissa stepped forward and reached out

to me. I bend down and she touches my cheek.

I am flown into a scene where I watch myself leave the office. My mate tells the girls something and they are talking when the lights in the office flicker. My mate looks towards the

window and Nali closes her eyes, trying to calm her fear. Next thing I know I open my eyes and

the window is broken. My mate smiles towards us and says something then walks toward the

window, jumping out. I am pulled back to the present, and look at my sisters.

What did she say?I ask and the girls look at eachother.

She said she was going home and thanked us for being nice to her.Nali answers and I feel

my

brows furrowed in confusion. Home? She is a rogue. She doesn’t have a home.

Thank you for being brave. You can go.I say, not wanting to prolong their trauma by being

here.

Okay.Nali says quietly. My mother gives me a look as she walks the girls out of the room

and shuts the door. I walk over to the window and stare out. Where did she go? What did she

mean by home? She had to have been working with somebody to attack us. She somehow

was able to break the impenetrable window and make the jump down two stories. I am lost in

, my thoughts when I hear a throat clear behind me. I turn to see Henry staring at me with a

blank expression.

Did

you get a chance to reject her?He asks and my irritation grows.

No, I didn’t get a chance to reject her. You interrupted it before I could get her name.I

answered.

Sorry. The warriors made it seem like witches were attacking the border. He says and I nod

my head.

Whoever reported that to you needs to be demoted. They were clearly not a threat and a distraction for the rogue to leave.I say and his brows scrunch.

How would she know that many witches to even have them create a distraction? He asks.

I don’t know, but apparently she has many friends because this window should not have been able to be broken, and the transporters who helped her escape.” I say with irritation.

It was one transporter.Henry says.

No, I clearly saw three beings behind the witches right before they disappeared.I argue and Henry shakes his head,

The witches mirrored the person. It is highly unlikely that three transports will show up, all the same height with fiery red hair.He says and my eyes widen.

You saw the transporter?I ask shocked.

No. All I saw was the same height and the same fire red curly strands stuck behind the

witches shoulders.He said.

I trust you, but there is no way that a transporter could transfer 15 people, let alone witches.” I
