Chapter8
Ziana’s POV
After the drama with Alpha Stanley, Warrick is making me drive the rest of the meeting, helping with disputes and attacks. Some Alpha’s don’t have anything, they just wanted to come for the update on other packs and the information we tell guests later on new goals, what has been changed and if we are needing help on
anything.
The older Alpha next to Alpha Killian is next.
“Alpha Allison. Do you have anything that you would like to request or speak about today?” I ask and she
nods her head.
“Yes Princess Ziana.” She says as her pale green eyes meet mine. I smile, encouragingly and she takes a deep breath. “My pack is struggling with rogue attacks. I am ashamed to admit that since my son, Ethan passed, training has fallen short. I am requesting help in dealing with the rogues and. And help in choosing an alpha to replace me.” She says and my eyes widen at that…It is unheard of to ask for help in choosing a new Alpha. Before I can speak Alpha Killian does.
“My pack is the closest to yours Alpha Allison, I will send some warriors to help you as well as train your members.” He offers, surprising the room. Most of the Alpha’s have been offering assistance in any way they can or at least speaking in some way. Even, gag, Clint.
“Very well, Alpha Killian. Alpha Allison, we can meet after the conference to speak on details regarding your replacement.” I say and she bows her head in my direction, then lifts it. Sad eyes meeting mine.
“Thank you, Princess. Thank you Alpha Killian.” She says as she puts a grateful hand on top of Killian’s,
squeezing it.
My eyes land on Alpha Killian next, his intense gaze has barely left me since the moment I walked in. It would be flattering if it wasn’t kind of giving me the creeps.
“Alpha Killian, would you like to share why you are here?” I ask and he takes a deep breath before I see pain
flash in his eyes.
“We have had three young shewolves taken from our pack. The first one was taken a week ago with no trace, the next was three days ago, again with no trace. Then the last one was yesterday morning. We scented rogues this time and followed the scent to a nearby lake where we lost the trail. I come here today in the hope of receiving help in finding our missing girls.” He says and I nod. Looking toward Warrick again for confirmation he wants me to handle this. He nods his head, like he has done for the last dozen Alpha’s and Luna’s. I look back into Alpha Killian’s, pained, dark pink eyes.
“We will send two of our best trackers back with you as well as two vampire–wolf hybrids.” I answer and his brow scrunches in confusion.
“If another girl is taken, the vampires speed may be able to catch up with them faster than a wolf. Their wolf side will be able to help them scent the perpetrators as well.” I explain and I see the understanding and relief in his eyes.
“Thank you.” He says and I nod.
< Chapter8
“Is there anything else?” I ask and he shakes his head. I move onto the next, and my eyes harden as I keep the disgust off my face.
“Alpha Clint.” I grit, not even asking what he came here for. He smiles sickly at me and I begin to grip my dagger harder.
“Thank you Princess Ziana. I came to request the approval to take another mate.” He says, eyeing me. I bite my tongue so hard I draw blood. I seethe as I try to calm the darkness within me. Mother must feel my struggle because she speaks up.
“And do you have a mate you are seeking approval for?” She asks and my eyes fly open toward her.
“You can’t be serious.” I say without thinking. Her gray eyes meet mine in warning, but then Alpha C*nt
speaks up.
“No one yet, but I have my eye on a certain somebody.” He answers my mother, ignoring me and I move so fast you could have blinked and missed me. I am in Alpha Clint’s face holding my dagger to his throat as his beady yellow eyes widen at me. The room is so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
“If you for a moment think that you will be taking another mate, when the last 6 have ended up dead within a year of mating you. You are mistaken Alpha C*nt. I will slit your throat before you can take another mate. Do you understand me, you sleezy motherf*cker?” I say darkly as I send electricity down the blade into his neck. I smell his fear and my darkness feeds on it. I know my eyes are glowing like a christmas tree, but I don’t
care.
“EVERYBODY OUT!” Warrick orders and people begin to scramble. I allow Clint to remove himself from my blade, mirroring his movement. He smirks at me.
“It’ll be fun taming you.” I hear him whisper under his breath, the lights flicker and I hear a sickening crunch. When the light comes back on Alpha Clint is holding a broken and bloodied nose and Alpha Killian seethes down at him.
“OUT!” Warrick orders, pushing his aura and Clint bolts while Killian looks at me for a moment and walks out. “Ziana.” Warrick says and I turn to find that his wolf is trying to take over.
“You can’t seriously be thinking of letting that disgusting wolf take another mate!” I yell and he growls. “Of course not. You shouldn’t have acted out. A leader doesn’t act out, you need to keep your composure at all costs.” He growls and my mouth gapes.
“ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME?!” I scream, throwing my hands in the air.
“Ziana. What your father has failed to say is that we have spies in Clint’s pack, gathering evidence. We are on
“You should have told me that before.” I grit then turn my attention to Warrick as he growls.
“It shouldn’t have mattered. You should have kept your composure. You did well up until that point. He says and I grip my dagger tighter as realize what he did. He was having me take care of the problems, getting Alpha’s and Luna’s to see that I would make a good queen someday.
“WHY CAN’T YOU GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK F*CKING SKULL THAT I DON’T WANT TO BE QUEEN
