Warrick’s POV
Aunt Ingrid, Henry and I are transported back into the castle foyer. I look at my watch and see that it is 7.00 Dinner should be wrapping up, so I make my way to the dining room, where I know the main people I will need to speak to will be. Aunt Ingrid and Henry follow behind me in silence. When we walk through the doors I see l was right. My mother, Henry’s parents, Jaxon and his sister are all standing up ready to leave the table. They all turn to look at me as I enter.
“HENRY!” His mother, Henrietta, screeches and races toward him, crushing him in a tight hug. His father, Jay walks over with a concerned look on his face, but hugs his son anyway.
“Son, why are you here? What’s going on?” Jay asks and looks between me and Henry.
“If you all could follow me to the sitting room I will explain.” I say and they all nod their heads and follow the into the sitting room. Jax and his sister, Reana, sit on the love seat, Henry and his parents sit on the couch and my mother and Aunt sit on two chairs, while I stand looking around their nervous faces.
“Due to some recent revelations, we will be hosting the rogue pack in the castle extension. They will be here within the next day.” I say. It is quiet for a minute as they all process and my mother shoots up from her seat in rage.
“WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN THE ROGUE PACK IS COMING HERE? THEY WILL KILL US ALL!” She screams at me, causing Henry to growl.
“That is my pack you are talking about, Iris.” Henry says lowly. She quiets for a moment and looks at him.” And your daughter’s pack.” He adds and she looks down. I can still see shame and anger on her face from my sister’s choosing to be a rogue. I look at Henry’s parents and they seem confused and restless. Then I look at Jax and his sister and I see she is shaking slightly and Jax has an arm around her in a comforting manner. In the last big rogue attack, their parents were killed.
“There has to be another way.” Jax says, looking at me and his sister with pleading eyes. Ingrid sighs and
leans forward looking each person in their eyes before speaking.
“There is NO other way. There is a war coming and the only way to win it is if the rogue pack and the royal
pack unite forces. This will bring all packs together, not just those two and they will all stand together against one common enemy. If we do not do this, the enemy WILL win.” Ingrid says, trying to show the reality
and seriousness of the situation.
“But they’re rogues. There has to be another way.” My mother almost begs.
“Iris. I think that the pack is going to need a person to escort them to the royal grounds and you’re the perfect person for the job.” Ingrid says and my mother gasps.
“I can’t go there. I’ll be killed.” My mother says, shaking her head.
“If Warrick was not injured, you would not be either.” My aunt defends and before anybody could say – else the parlor door swings open and Hadley rushes in. Jumping into my arms and planting a kiss or

were discussing. She grabs the back of my head and runs her tongue across my bottom lip and precon give her access, while gripping her a*s.
I am broken from the kiss by a gagging noise and I look to see Jax, closing his mouth just in time to know was him. I shoot him a glare, while still holding Hadley.
“F*ck this. I’ll go. Anything to get away from…” Mom says, then waves her hand toward me and Hadley Shocking me. She rarely curses. “When do we leave?” My mother asked. I let Hadley down and saw Henry glaring daggers at me. If looks could kill I’d be deeper than 6 ft in the ground.
“We will leave in the morning.” Aunt Ingrid answers through gritted teeth.
“Can I come with you?” Jaxon asks and I look at him in surprise.
“Where are we going?” Hadley asks, looking around the room in confusion.
“WE’RE not going anywhere.” Mother says as she stands up to leave the room, then looks at Ingrid. “I will be in the foyer at 7:00” Mother says to my Aunt then walks out. I sigh and look around the room, there are various emotions right now and when my eyes land on Hadley she is furious.
“You’re going to let your mother speak to me that way?” She asks me and I frown.
“Like what?” I ask, confused. My mother wasn’t rude to Hadley. She was actually nicer to her than normal. “You’re joking right?” She scoffs and looks around at the room and I just stare at her. Henry’s mother, Henrietta clears her throat, causing me to look at her.
“What do you need us to do?” Henrietta asks, changing the subject. I see some of the tension in the others
ease.
“I need you all to spread the word around the pack about our visitors. I also need assistance in showing them to their rooms when they arrive.” I answer and Hadley grunts beside me.
“What visitors?” She asks, looking at me accusingly.
“I was planning on telling you later. The um.. Rogue pack is coming to stay with us.” I say and her eyes go
wide.
