Evangelina’s POV
Everybody stares at me, waiting for something and my annoyance Increases.
WHATI snap, turning and looking at them.
No. Nothing.” Tali says, while eyeing me warily.
“Well.. Did you find anything?” I ask them and they begin to speak at once. I huff in frustration as Warrick
holds up his hand.
“One at a time. Nali, you first.” He says, while coming to stand next to me as we face the group in front of us.
His scent calms me.
“Nothing to report on the two. One was indifferent, the other did not like her.” She answers. Warrick nodse
then turns to Leviticus.
“2 out of the 5 felt lust, 1 felt hatred, and the other 2 felt indifferent.” He answers. I grimace as the images of the unwanted p*rn episodes appeared in my head.
“3 slept with her, one conspired with something, the 2 were nothing.” I answer and Warrick growls lowly.
“Just for the record, I don’t think that I knew what I was signing up for when I said I would read people.” Ingrid
says and I sigh. “Two of them were going to go and.. Uhem, pleasure themselves with thoughts of Hadley.
Warren was going to dial Hadley’s number, and the other two were indifferent.” She answers and I frown, as
Warrick’s growl grows louder. Ingrid widens her eyes at me and makes an exaggerated motion towards
Warrick. I take the cue on the third try and step closer to him, gently placing my hand around his fisted hand.
He opens it, and grabs mine, squeezing it tight as Tali continues.
“Three she slept with, and the other two didn’t like her.” She quickly says, while pulling her face as she
remembers the memories.
“She slept with one, another brought her herbs and potions, the other three were indifferent or didn’t like her.”
Celest says. Warrick’s grip on my hand tightened even further.
“As they were walking out, I read a few auras that you may want to check into, if you have not already, I reported them to Beta Linc.” Constantine informs.
“So she’s a wh*re.” Warrick states, everyone pauses and stares at him.
“You would be correct,” I answer, and squeeze his hand, sending sparks up my arm..
“What happened with Warren?” Ingrid changes the subject, causing Veena to growl.
“He was consoling her and said that he would let her know the time to walk by. When she did he would fall in
love with her.” I answer and she shakes her head, while making a disgusted face.
“How could he do that?” Nali asks and I shrug.
“My guess is that he is related to her somehow. I am not sure.” I answer and now she shakes her head.
“What are the next steps?” Leviticus asks, I shrug and look to Warrick, who has not loosened on his death grip on my hand. He takes a deep breath before answering.

Chapter 90
Well next is interrogation. It would be really handy to have you there, being that you can tell if people are lying, but if not that is okay. I know it is taxing to use gifts.” Warrick rambles, as Leviticus snorts.
It’s not really a gift, just a sixth sense. All dragons have it, whether they want to share it with their human counterpart is another story. I’ll sit in on the interrogations. This would be a good exercise for Violet too, if allowed, Alpha.” Leviticus asks, waiting for the answer.
“If you think she is ready, go ahead, but I don’t want her too down on herself if she can’t do it.” I answer and
he nods his head.
“Yes Alpha. Rachel is ready and so is Tyrn, they can sit in on others if there are multiple going on.” Leviticus says and I nod my head to Warrick. Leviticus shifts his attention to him and waits.
“Yes. If they are willing, then we would like all the help we can get. Don’t push them though, I know that some are more reluctant to help the crown.” He answers and I smile slightly at his thoughtfulness. Hmm. Different.
“Yes, sir.” Levitus says and nods to Warrick, while bowing to me, then takes his leave.
“Everybody else, go and rest. Thank you for your help today.” Warrick says and the others leave as well.
Warrick turns to me with a goofy grin on his face.
“Mate.” He says, while leaning into me. I pull away as he frowns.
“Look, just because Veena went crazy, doesn’t mean that we accept you. Now I’ll admit for some reason the pull is stronger today, but it doesn’t mean that we are just going to fall into your arms and forgive everything. I said I would give you a chance, don’t push it.” I say before I get caught up in something that I can’t handle at
the moment.
