Goodbye, Mr. Ex: I've Remarried Mr. Right novel Chapter 1875

Getting up this early for a wedding was torture.

"Forget why it's not at night. Just get up and get your makeup done," Erica urged.

Debra had scrubbed off her makeup just five hours ago. Now she had to wear it again.

In contrast to her sluggishness, Erica buzzed with energy, directing the team and even hiring pros to guard the door. She even tested the door's sturdiness.

"What are you doing there?" Debra asked, puzzled.

"Oh, check how tough this door is. You know, we can't let Andrew waltz in so easily," Erica replied.

"But if you don't let him in, how am I getting married?"

"Ugh, I mean, we can't make it too easy."

While scoping out the hall, Erica spotted a shadow outside and moved to shut the door.

Randy quickly called out, "Erica, it's me."

"Randy?" She pulled the door back open. "What are you doing here? I thought you were with the groomsmen."

"I saw this huge diamond, couldn't help myself, and put it on. It fit perfectly. His parents saw it and got all teary, and then the wedding date was set."

Erica's mind conjured an image of a naïve girl being lured.

Andrew's proposal was the most understated ever. But with the date locked, she let it slide.

"Think before you act next time," she muttered. "Watch out for guys like Andrew. You never know what sneaky plans they've got. He could sell you, and you'd be counting the cash for him."

"He would never," Debra argued.
