Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 140

**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream by Alyndra Meron Valeen**
**Chapter 140**

“Listen closely, you arrogant fool. I am committed to safeguarding my mentor, no matter the distance or danger. You can summon your father if you wish, but I will not waver!” Baron’s voice was resolute, echoing with a fierce loyalty that left no room for doubt.

He had declared his allegiance to Sebastian, and there was no turning back now.

But really, how challenging could this decision be? On one side stood the Amos family, a mere flicker in the grand tapestry of Astergrad, while on the other loomed the monumental Grimwalds of Enbarr—an overwhelming force. This was a choice so clear, so obvious, that it hardly required contemplation.

Terry was utterly oblivious to the gravity of the situation. This was Baron’s defining moment, a chance to showcase his unwavering commitment and fidelity before the truth could ever surface.

I was taken aback, my heart swelling with admiration for his steadfastness. “Mr. Goldman… I can’t express how grateful I am. I promise, I will find a way to repay you for this!”

In the realm of men, actions held far more weight than mere words. I felt no need to elaborate on my gratitude; instead, I resolved to demonstrate my appreciation through relentless dedication, working tirelessly to secure all the gold that would come our way.

“I’m not doing this for financial gain!” Baron insisted, his smile as smooth and inviting as melted butter. “You must be protected at all costs! And I mean every single cost!”

Terry’s fury ignited like a flame, his face twisting in rage. “You think I’m powerless against you? I’ll call my grandpa right now! Let’s see how tough you are when he arrives! Hey, you! Get my grandpa on the phone!”

The leader of the bodyguards nodded, already reaching for his phone. “Understood.”

Both factions stood frozen, the air thick with tension. Neither side was willing to back down, each waiting for the other to make a move.

The standoff dragged on, an unyielding stalemate.

After what felt like an eternity, a sleek, luxurious car glided to a halt nearby.

The driver, a towering figure nearly six-foot-six with broad shoulders that radiated intimidation, stepped out and opened the door for an elderly man clad in an opulent three-piece suit.

Harvey Amos surveyed the scene with a furrowed brow, his expression a mixture of confusion and concern. “What’s going on here?”

“Grandpa! It’s me! Look at what they’ve done to your favorite grandson!” Terry rushed to him, enveloping the old man in a tight embrace, his voice dripping with feigned innocence as he whined, “That jerk almost killed me! Just look at my neck!”

The tension hung palpably in the air, and I could only brace myself for the storm that was about to unfold.
