Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 143

Chapter 143

All it would take for the Amos family to vanish into Astergrad’s history was for Sebastian’s true identity as the lost heir to be revealed.

Baron could only lament that Julius had chosen to test his grandson so harshly.

There was one more truth to reckon witha giant would always be a giant. Whether exposed or not, Sebastian would remain the lost heir whom Baron had to protect at all costs.

No! I won’t let you get hurt! If you do, everything I’ve done up to this point will have been for nothing!Baron

shouted.

Harvey had watched our exchange with mounting impatience and irritation, as though we had forgotten his presence entirely. Seems like he’s eager to get his skull cracked open with a bottle. Why not let him have his fun?

Then Harvey’s tone shifted, cold and measured. In fact, I’ve changed my mind. I’m tired of this. Flint, deal with him. Smash a bottle over that brat’s head so we can all go home.

Understood.Flint Steele, a towering wall of muscle, finally spoke. His voice carried a chilling boom that matched his monstrous build.

Baron could not believe his ears. What?! We made a promise about how this should be settled, and this wasn’t it!

It would not take 30 bottles to kill Sebastian if Flint was the one swinging. One strike would be enough. And if Sebastian survived, it could still leave him braindamaged for life.

No! I’ll fulfill our original bargain!Baron cried and ground his teeth as he swung the bottle at his own head.

Flint was faster. He struck the bottle from Baron’s hand, shattering it and fracturing Baron’s wrist with the

same motion.

Agony shot through Baron’s nerves. He gasped, trembling, sweat beading on his forehead. Still, he planted himself in front of Sebastian and shielded the young man with his own body. You lying bastard!

Baron’s resolve hardened. Sebastian could not suffer harm, not in any way. If it meant protecting him, even revealing his true identity was no longer off the table.

Baron had spent enough time with the young man to understand him. Sebastian was loyal. He would never abandon his friends. Baron knew that even after learning of his own heritage, Sebastian would stand by him through thick and thin.

He could tell about that loyalty when Sebastian defended Jeanine despite the risk of earning another enemy. This giant was sentimental and fiercely steadfast.

Lying? My patience just ran out,Harvey sneered and motioned for Flint to attack again.

I could not even follow Flint’s movement. One moment Baron stood tall, and the next he was hurled through the air, crashing onto the floor with a thunderous bang.

That was when I finally grasped the gulf between an ordinary man’s punch and the full arsenal of a trained fighter. I had thought my peak physical condition, backed by a little martial arts knowledge, would be enough in

most situations.
