**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream by Alyndra Meron Valeen**
**Chapter 174**
In the tangled web of familial expectations, Rhea found herself ensnared by a set of “conditions” that felt more like shackles than guidelines. Her parents had decreed that she must embark on a three-year journey abroad, a seemingly innocuous requirement that hid a far more sinister motive. They insisted that this separation would serve as a litmus test for Sebastian’s love, a cruel experiment to see if he could remain steadfast in her absence. If, after three long years, he faltered, her parents would have the perfect justification to deny their union.
The idea of marrying Sebastian consumed Rhea’s thoughts like a wildfire, and despite the harsh terms laid out before her, she acquiesced. In her heart, she believed that true love could withstand any trial. Before her departure, she poured her soul into a heartfelt text to Sebastian, a confession that encapsulated all her hopes and fears.
Unbeknownst to her, however, her father had sinisterly interfered with her phone. That message, brimming with love and longing, would never reach its intended recipient.
Meanwhile, James, her father, scoffed at the very notion of loyalty. “What if she discovers my little deception?” he mused, a smirk playing on his lips. “Once Rhea returns to Revaria, I’ll ensure she is married off to someone wealthy and powerful. And as for Sebastian… who knows if that brat can even last three years? One thing is certain: my daughter will not be shackled to a penniless fool!”
Neither Rhea nor I had any inkling of James’ scheming. I, on the other hand, was caught up in a whirlwind of festivities, throwing a jubilant party for my dedicated employees.
The venue was none other than the lively establishment owned by Howard and Miley Wynn, who had graciously reserved their finest room for our celebration. The atmosphere was electric as laughter and music filled the air, and soon, my employees began to arrive in droves.
As I engaged in light-hearted banter with Howard and Miley, I could hear the raucous excitement spilling from the party room. My employees were letting loose, their joyous spirits ignited by the occasion. They were all around my age, perhaps that was why they felt liberated enough to unleash their inner revelers, unburdened by the presence of their employer.
When I finally stepped into the room, their exuberance momentarily faltered.
“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the one and only Mr. Sebastian Grimwald!”
Cheers erupted, and a chorus of voices rang out in my honor.
“A toast to the greatest employer who threw this party for us!” one employee shouted, raising a glass high.
“I once believed my life was devoid of purpose, but then I met you, Mr. Grimwald. You’ve reignited a spark within me!”
