Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 203

**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream**
by Alyndra Meron Valeen 203

Cecil’s brow furrowed deeply as he abruptly yanked Charice aside, his frustration palpable in the air. “Goddamn it, Charice! I never once said I wouldn’t make that bastard pay for what he’s done. Just calm down for a second—you’re making a scene, and it’s embarrassing me! Weren’t you the one who insisted we should let Victor handle this?”

His glare was sharp enough to cut through the tension, and I could feel the heat of his anger radiating off him. “You prick! You’ve completely ruined the mood and made a mockery of my family on my mother’s birthday! By the end of today, you will regret this… Mark my words!”

A snicker escaped my lips, involuntarily. “Are you upset that your mom’s birthday has turned into a disaster, or is it that your daughter isn’t available to be sold off to some uppercrust heir?” My words dripped with sarcasm, and I could see the rage boiling beneath his skin.

As I listened to their heated exchange, a realization dawned upon me about this “Victor Blanc.” It became clear that they were planning to marry Claire off to him for some sort of advantage, a strategic maneuver rather than a romantic one.

Claire turned to me, her expression a mix of confusion and curiosity. “Huh?”

She had clearly missed the earlier conversation, and the thought of her impending fate hadn’t even crossed her mind yet.

Cecil’s voice took on a darker tone, laden with authority. “Well, well. Since you’re already in the loop, why continue this charade?” He directed his gaze back to Claire, his eyes narrowing. “Claire, you are to break up with that lowlife immediately. I have already arranged a marriage proposal with Victor, the heir of the Blanc family. He’s elite, competent, well-endowed—basically everything that this poor punk wishes he could be.”
