Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 83

Chapter 83

Baron leaned forward, his voice firm yet inviting. “Don’t hold back your thoughts. We’re all on the same team here, aren’t we? Speak freely, no need to sugarcoat anything.”

Ezra’s eyes sparkled with unexpected delight. Who would have imagined the CEO himself would openly encourage such candor from a subordinate? Best of all, this was a clear sign that Sebastian’s time was up.

“Very well, Mr. Goldman! Since you insist on honesty, let me be blunt! I say we give this snake a proper thrashing before handing him over to the police. With the clout of Baron Inc., we can ensure he stays locked away for at least two weeks!” Ezra declared, a smug grin spreading across his face.

He glanced at me, clearly expecting me to crumble into submission, begging for leniency. What he failed to notice was the shift in Baron’s expression—his brow furrowed, eyes darkening as he silently summoned several security guards.

“I’ll need my men here,” Baron said calmly. “Ezra, your plan is perfect. We’ll proceed exactly as you suggested.” He patted Ezra’s shoulder with a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes.

“Thank you, sir! You’re making the right call—I guarantee it!” Ezra responded, his tone dripping with flattery.

Little did he know the storm about to break over him.

Within moments, eight of Baron Inc.’s security personnel appeared, forming a tight circle around us. Their confident strides and muscular builds told me these men were no strangers to hand-to-hand combat; their presence alone was intimidating.

“Yes, sir?” one guard asked, awaiting orders.

“Mr. Chapelle has confessed to being a corporate spy,” Baron instructed coldly. “Take him out of sight, administer a thorough beating, then turn him over to the police. Make sure they keep him locked up for six months. Fabricate any charges necessary to justify the sentence.”

“Understood, sir!” the guards responded in unison.

*An esteemed business partner? What on earth had he done?* he thought in sheer disbelief and horror.

“Oh, and one more thing,” Baron said, turning back to the guards. “He mentioned a body search, didn’t he? Strip him down before you begin.”

“Yes, sir!” the guards acknowledged promptly.

Ezra’s protests turned into screams as the guards tightened their grip. “No! Please, don’t! Sebast—Mr. Grimwald, I was wrong! You’re incredibly important! The most esteemed man in the company! Someone I should never have crossed! Have mercy! I beg you, for my sister’s sake! Please don’t let this happen! I swear I won’t offend you again!”

His cries echoed through the room even as the guards hauled him away, his desperation filling the tense air.
