Chapter 107 The Rooftop Goodbye

Landon rushed back downstairs, making the manager even more nervous. What was going on today?
Not daring to waste any time, the manager hurried after him.
Landon found an inconspicuous spot downstairs and sat down. From across the bar, he secretly: took a photo of Chloe.
The picture came out perfectly clear. In the booth, Chloe sat relaxed while across from her, that delicate–looking guy was chatting with her. They were too far for Landon to hear their conversation, but the smiles on their faces said everything–they were clearly enjoying themselves.
Looking at the photo of this attractive pair, Landon grinned and sent it to Eugene’s phone, making sure to send the high–quality original.
Then he snapped his fingers and told the nearby bartender, “Get me your strongest drink.” If he was going to watch drama unfold, he needed something to sip on.
The manager, who had just caught up, felt even more confused after hearing that.
What’s
wrong with the boss today?
About ten minutes later.
Chloe finished her mojito, checked the time, and prepared to leave.
Oralia stood up smoothly and reached out her hand.
Seeing Oralia’s confident gesture, Chloe placed her hand in Oralia’s and used the support to stand up.
“Let’s go!”
“Are you sure you don’t want that ride? I’m really good on the bike, you know,” Oralia said, acting like an eager fan. “I practiced all those moves you taught me.”
“Next time,” Chloe replied simply. “Robert’s still at home. Didn’t you mention staying over at my place for a night? Want to come along?”
“I’ll definitely go within three days. I just got to Capaville, and my agency and the director have packed my schedule. I need to finish all that first. After that, I’ll have a few days off, and then I’ll come find you.”

Chloe paid the bill and left with Oralia. Oralia stuck so close to Chloe that they were practically attached. To anyone watching, their closeness seemed… unusual.
Landon watched the whole scene, shocked. That pretty boy was so shameless, clinging to Chloe like a shadow. Was he a kept man?
Chloe and that guy were about to leave, and Eugene still hadn’t shown up. What should he do now?
Landon really wanted to stop them and buy some time, but if he showed up now, Chloe would definitely get suspicious.
Well, Eugene, you’re on your own now. Don’t say I didn’t try to help.
Chloe and Oralia walked out of the club together. Outside, Oralia’s red motorcycle stood parked prominently by the entrance, looking incredibly cool.
“Remember when you took me riding? That feeling’s still stuck with me!” Oralia hooked her arm around Chloe’s, giving her a fast, soft kiss on the cheek. “I’ll miss you tons–you gotta miss me too, okay?”
Chloe didn’t push Oralia away–she didn’t even flinch.
“Okay, cut it out! Your fans are everywhere–who knows who’s around. If word gets out you’ve been hitting up bars incognito, you’ll be dealing with trolls nonstop for ages!”
Oralia flashed a mischievous grin. “Just wait for me! I’ll come stay with you at Riverville Prime Residence in three days.
“Thanks for the gift.”
Oralia made a cool gesture with her hand, then swung onto her bike. The engine roared to life, and she sped off into the night.
The red motorcycle sped off, zooming past a black luxury car that had just pulled over.
Chloe stood watching until Oralia disappeared from view. Then she noticed the familiar car that had stopped at the curb–it was Eugene’s.
The car came to a stop less than six yards from where Chloe stood. Bruce stepped out from the passenger seat and opened the rear door. A tall figure emerged, and the moment he appeared, the whole world seemed to fade into the background.
Eugene’s natural presence was impossible to ignore.
