Chapter 116 Chloe’s Grand Entrance
At that moment, a sleek black car pulled up silently.
Finished
Madilyn and Jennifer were still soaking up the admiring glances around them. When they spotted the car coming over, they both glanced over, curious.
Whose car was that? It looked pricey but plain, and it didn’t even have license plates.
The car glided to a stop next to the red carpet. Darin, who was driving, hopped out right away and went to open the back door. He stood there, waiting politely.
“Ms. Lewis, we’ve arrived,” he said politely.
Ms. Lewis? How many women with the last name Lewis are in Capaville’s top social circles? Carolyn Lewis? But the Lewis family isn’t big enough to get an invite to a fancy event like this. Madilyn looked puzzled. She kept her eyes fixed on the car, wondering who this “Ms. Lewis” could be.
When Arthur and Jennifer heard “Ms. Lewis,” they both froze. Their eyes darted straight to the car.
They were standing close to the entrance, so they had a clear view. When an elegant, fairy–like figure stepped out, everyone nearby fell silent.
Chloe! It was really Chloe!
Chloe had on nice accessories–simple, but obviously expensive. But her dress was what stood out the most. Its soft green color made her look like she’d stepped out of a fairy tale.
She had a perfect figure, and her delicate face caught everyone’s attention right away.
“Which family is she from?”
“Who is she? She’s incredibly beautiful!”
“That dress is amazing. Which designer made it?”
“I’ve never seen her before in Capaville’s social scene. I’d love to meet her.”
All around, guests whispered to each other, their eyes fixed on Chloe.
Arthur stored at the stunning woman before him. Every little move she made looked graceful. She seemed like sh alked out of a painting–a real–life fairy tale princess.
Six years!
He’d been married to Chloe for six years, but he’d never seen her dressed like this. Sure, she’d always been pretty, but never this glowing and put–together. Usually, she was just a housewife–cooking, cleaning, handling daily stuff. That’s how he’d always known her. This was the first time he’d seen Chloe look so glamorous.
When Jennifer saw Chloe, her eyes immediately locked on that eye–catching dress. Jennifer had spent 880 thousand dollars on a custom LOVELESS gown, hoping to be the most admired woman at the party

tonight. But after seeing Chloe’s dress, most of her confidence melted away.
Why was Chloe here?
Finished
Jennifer looked Chloe up and down. Seeing how elegant and composed she looked made Jennifer feel irritated.
What brand was Chloe’s dress? She had never seen anything like it. Chloe couldn’t afford designer clothes -was it just a cheap knockoff? But how could a knockoff look this good?
It didn’t add up!
“Ms. Lewis, have a good night,” Darin said with a polite nod, closing the back door gently before he got back in the driver’s seat and pulled away smoothly.
Chloe stood there for a moment, watching the sleek black car disappear into the distance. Landon had shot her a text earlier–he and Eugene had already arrived, met up with Joseph, and settled in. He told her to take her time, go ahead and mix with the guests for a while, and not to rush over.
Landon had also mentioned that all the food tonight was being prepared live by Michelin–starred chefs, so she should take her time and enjoy everything.
She lifted the edge of her skirt slightly and turned to walk toward the venue.
“Chloe!”
A cold voice called out to her. Chloe stopped and frowned. That voice?
Madilyn!
She looked over and saw a group standing together not far away. Right now, all of them were staring at her with cold expressions.
Chloe ignored Madilyn and instead focused on Jennifer. The necklace Jennifer wore–if she remembered correctly, Arthur had bought it for her when they got married. Charles had pushed Arthur to buy his wife something special, as a husband should.
