“I was the one who ordered these for everyone,” Carolyn declared, turning to the LV delivery staff with a tight smile. “They already confirmed it–‘Ms. Lewis‘ prepared these welcome gifts for the crew.”

She raised her voice slightly so people nearby could hear. “So, who exactly are these for?”

The delivery staff member replied formally, “These welcome gifts were arranged by Ms. Lewis for the crew.”

“Did everyone hear that?” Carolyn’s voice grew louder. “Who was it that ordered gifts for everyone?”

“Hey mister, a little advice—make sure you’re delivering to the right person,” Robert cut in, his smile bright but his words sharp. “Not every ‘Ms. Lewis‘ gets to claim them, you know?”

Hearing this, the delivery man frowned. He quickly checked the order form. It only said “Ms. Lewis.” Headquarters had sent it for delivery to this location, but now someone was saying the recipient was wrong?

“I’m Carolyn Lewis. A friend of mine ordered these gifts for everyone. He texted me earlier saying he’d prepared presents for the whole crew.” Carolyn held up her phone as if it were proof. “I really don’t see what there is to argue about. After all… not everyone can pull this off.”

Watching Carolyn act so full of herself made Robert sick.

“Hey, get a grip, would you?” Robert shot back, not holding back. “Your friend is that generous, spending all that money for you? Are you even worth it?”

Carolyn stamped her foot, furious. “You little brat! I ought to smack you. So young and already picking fights–who taught you to be like this?”

“Carolyn, you’re a grown woman. Did your mother never teach you not to take what isn’t yours?” The voice was calm but carried a whip–like sting. This time, it was Chloe who spoke.

Chloe leaned back in her chair, her words slow and measured, as if stating the most obvious fact. Her tone didn’t rise or fall, but the authority she radiated was overwhelming.

Hearing that, Carolyn’s heart dropped.

Emily had no choice. She left to find security.

“Chloe, I let you in. I set up the VIP lounge for you. Now you’re clearly trying to challenge me. Since you don’t know how to be grateful, please leave. The whole crew doesn’t want you here.”
