Chapter 170
Brian grabbed Adeline by the hair and forced her face against the tablet screen. His fingers were so tense that his knuckles turned white.N
“Look carefully! Is this you? Tell me!” he shouted.
Brian’s assistant replayed the video without hesitation. On the screen, every ugly truth was revealed. The footage showed Adeline bullying me at home, the recordings I had taken, the deal she made with the kidnappers and her phone call with the prison guards.
Every word, every frame, was clear and undeniable. Adeline sobbed, tears streaming down her face. Still, she shook her head violently.
Her voice trembling as she tried to deny it, “It wasn’t me! Brian, it’s Lilian! She framed me! She’s jealous that I have our parents‘ love and that you protect me. So she made all this up to hurt me!“}
“Jealous of you?“”
Brian let out a cold, humorless laugh, as if he had heard the most ridiculous joke in the world. His grip on her hair tightened.\
“What would she be jealous of? That you stole her identity and took her rightful place as the real Miss Wyatt? Or that you tricked me with your lies and stole my trust? You’re the one who took everything from her!”
Adeline’s shoulders shook violently. Her crying grew desperate, almost crazed.”
“These are all fake! She made them up! Mum and Dad never liked her anyway. Now they just want to use this to push me out of the Wyatt Family!“}
Brian suddenly released her. Adeline stumbled and fell to the ground. He looked down at her coldly.”
“So, it was you three who worked together to drive her out of the Wyatt Family and out of my life?“<
He let out a chilling laugh that sent shivers through the room.
“Adeline, do you really think I didn’t know? If you hadn’t threatened her with the Wyatt Family’s downfall, if you hadn’t begged her with tears to marry into the Herbert family in your place, why would she ever agree to swap marriages with you?“}
“Why would she endure so much suffering by my side?”
Adeline thrashed wildly, clawing at Brian’s wrist with her nails.
“No, it wasn’t me! I didn’t force her!“}
“She did it because she wanted to! She wanted to steal you from me!”
Even now, Adeline stubbornly refused to admit the truth. Brian’s patience finally ran out. He then let her go before shouting angrily, “Bring them in!”
Two bodyguards immediately entered, dragging in three men. They were the kidnappers from that night. Along with them was the prison guard who had followed Adeline’s orders.”
The men kept their heads down, trembling under Brian’s icy stare. Adeline’s face turned pale. She stumbled backward, her voice breaking with panic as she said, “You… why are you here?”
