HER DARK ALPHA novel Chapter 1

(REMI'S POV)

Cursed? Maybe. Dead? No. But I couldn't count being alive as a blessing. And it was a sad irony.

As the harsh autumn winds blew, a lone figure stood in front of the imposing school building, staring at the entrance.

Closing my eyes, I braced myself. 'Okay, Rem. It's just another day, but you can do that.’

Regardless of what I told myself or how many times I took this routine, I knew nothing would ever change.

I was stuck and my nightmares awaited me on the other side of these walls, screaming “Welcome to Ravenwood Academy”.

Taking a deep breath, I plugged my earphones into my ears before walking through the huge double glass doors.

Two years ago, if anyone had told me my life would become so miserable, I would have laughed it off in their faces and called their bull---

“Well, well, well. Look what we have here,” a silky voice dripping with sweetness suddenly intruded into my thoughts.

Coming to an abrupt stop, I raised my head with a slight gasp.

Standing in front of me were none other than the school's big three, otherwise known as the Celestial Trinity.

Charlotte Davis, Mia Reynolds, and of course, their obnoxious and overly egoistic leader, Sophia Patel.

Subconsciously, my fists closed over the hems of my skirt as I glared at them.

The very epitome of perfection, Sophia was daughter to our pack's dignified Beta, the head of the school's cheerleading team and, unfortunately, president of our class.

Literally every werewolf in Ravenwood Academy was obsessed with her and there was very little which she couldn't get.

Honestly, I didn't get what they all saw in her. She was nothing but a heartless jerk with a nasty attitude!

Unfortunately, when you're a weak, lower ranking, nerdy wolf, your opinion hardly matters.

Watching her playfully twirl her blonde extensions in her fingers, I fumed with rage, really wishing they would rip off from her hair.

Why do I hate her so much, if you may ask?

These three were only one of the biggest torments in my life, and she was the leading wolf in the pack.

Celestial Trinity my left foot. They didn't deserve that name. Not when they were nothing but demons sent from the devil himself!

Summoning my invisible balls, I leveled gazes with the taller girl. “What do you want, Sophia?”

At once, the expression on Sophia's face faltered. Like a chameleon changing its colors, she frowned indignantly and her eyes darkened.

“Are you really asking me that?” She asked, taking a step forward. “Don't tell me you forgot my orders.”

I did not forget.

“I was extremely busy yesterday so I couldn't finish up your reports,” I bravely said.

That was half the truth. The second half was how I didn't want to be her lapdog anymore.

But when I felt a change in her aura, fear gripped me.

Out of instinct, I took a step backwards. Okay, what was I thinking when I dared to offend Sophia so early in the morning?

Noticing how my figure trembled as I backed away, Sophia smirked.

Again, she took another step forward until she had me backed up against a locker.

“You’ve grown some balls, Omega. How dare you defy my orders, huh? Have you forgotten your place?”

A mere toy meant to satisfy all their cruel desires and serve as their entertainment? I already know that part way too well. How could I ever forget?

They made it their daily duty to ruin my life when I had never even crossed them once.
