He’s an Alpha She doesn’t Care novel Chapter 90

Wynta

She was off to physio that morning, and she worked up a sweat, her knee was improving quite a bit, her physio was happy with the progress, and she no longer had to wear her knee brace. He’d taped it today and had her work through the exercises which had been the plan from last week, to try taping the knee this week.

It had actually been good, and he’d shown her how to do this herself, so she could do it at home. There was more stability in her knee, and she smiled at him and was able to buy skin-tone tape as well, so that it would be less noticeable, not that she’d cared at all about anyone seeing her knee brace, injuries happened and needed to be supported to heal properly.

“I’ve been doing all my exercises as you told me too,” Wynta smiled at him.

“I know you do, it shows in the improvement. I wasn’t really expecting this much progress so soon. It’s good to see, though we still need to keep it taped up for a few weeks to regain the strength of the knee itself. We’ll start working on stairs next week and stepping down off things to see how it holds up.”

She’d nodded and left, heading back to the office. Her day had been good so far, no one was talking about her, and she wasn’t hearing any whispers or made to feel as though people were staring at her. Now this good news on top of that, she got out of the cab at the office only to find Nolan right there walking towards her.

Her smile evaporated in an instant as he addressed her, “Wynta, I just want to talk to you.” He reached out and grabbed her arm in a firm grip.

“Let go of me,” she snapped at him. “I don’t care what you have to say.” She pulled her arm, trying to make him let go, only to have him tighten the grip.

“No, I need you to come home. Your father is expecting me to bring you home to meet him,”

Nolan stated.

“Oh, does he now? And just who is he? I ain’t got no father, there ain’t any proof you can give me that anyone is my father.” She had a hand on his trying to pry it from herself. “Let go of me,” she grated out once more.

“No, you’ll know it when you see him. Feel the kin bond kick in,” and then he was hauling her away.

She yelled at him, “Let go.” And kicked him in the back of his knee.

He stopped walking and glared at her. “Really you would kick me?”

“I’ll f*****g do more than that,” she yelled at him and struck out at him, trying to hit him in the face.

He leaned back and snorted, “Weak as human, you are no match for me. Do as you’re f*****g told and get your ass in the car.” He snarled.

But as he turned to face her, she snapped a knee up and into his groin, and heard him grunt. as it landed. His eyes were hard on hers now, as anger flared in them, and then was shoving her towards a car that was waiting.

“I’m not f*****g going with you,” she yelled at him, and really started to fight with all she had, making a hell of a scene in the hope someone would step in and help her. She was pulling at his hand, lashing out and trying to hit and kick him the entire time he was hauling her away. He was using his wolfen strength on her, and she was no match for him; as he’d stated, she was weak as a human.

She was trying to get her wolfsbane from her bag when she was suddenly yanked around, where she tumbled to the ground and rolled over once as Nolan’s hand was ripped off her,” Let her go.” Was grated out, and Wynta looked up to find Cam and his two brothers right there, one of them leaned down and helped her up a gentle smile on his face “Hi, I’m Garth.”

“Thank you,” she stated. “Wynta.”

“We’re aware of who you are.” He smiled at her.

“Who the hell are you to interfere in my and my wife’s business?” Nolan snapped to her utter dismay.

“I’m not your f*****g wife, I would never marry you.” she spat at him, and saw his eyes turn angrily on her.

“Yes, you bloody will, it’s been arranged already.” He snarled, and she felt his aura roll out of her, and she bristled, but he couldn’t control her. She was a rogue.

She also found herself tugged directly behind Garth at that moment, but it didn’t stop her from yelling right back. “I’d rather die then be with you.”

Then she had two of Tallah’s brothers step right in front of her, “I think she’s made herself plainly clear, walk away.” one of them stated.

“She’s my business.” Nolan grated out. “Get lost.”

“Yes, a few scrapes, I don’t want your assistance here for all to see,” she muttered. That would just start up more rumors here in the office. She saw him frown but nod and take a step back, understanding from her words what she was implying. visit j(o)b_ni_b{.}c[o]m for fast updates .Jared looked at the triplets, and he sighed “Right, everyone inside. Father, they are like us, just different,” he stated, and she blinked and saw not only the triplets turn and look at him but who could only be their father as well. “Have a den, not a packhouse,” Jared added. “Yes, I know who you all are, the boys and I figured it out yesterday.”

She found Chester at her side. “Come on, Wynta, let’s get you patched up.” He sighed and walked her off inside. Everyone was trailing them, she opted to just go back to her floor, telling Chester there were band-aids up there. He looked at her and nodded, “We’ll come speak to you later. Right to your floor and don’t leave the building without one of us.” He stated, “That Wynta out there was a full viable k********g attempt, and followed up with a threat.”

She nodded and returned to her floor, washed her hand and knee. Thankfully, it wasn’t her injured one, and she patted them dry. There wasn’t much blood, barely a graze. Though she then walked herself to Tallah’s office and stepped in and closed the door. “Your brothers and father are here in the building.”

“What!” Tallah stared at her. Clearly, she had no idea.

“It’s out, Jared knows what you are and so do his boys, found out last night. I don’t know more than that. But, I’m guessing right now a discussion is about to be had between all of them regarding you and Dwane.”

“What happened to your hand?”

“Nolan.” She shook her head. “Your brothers stepped in. Nolan now knows they aren’t human as well. All three of them rolled their aura at him to make him understand he wasn’t going to be able to take me. What did you tell your family about me and Jared?”

“Oh, yeah, sorry I tried to deflect Dwane and I by bringing up you and Jared might be a thing. Why what was said.” Tallah sighed.

“That I was Jared Hayes’ woman.” Wynta sighed a little.

“Hmm, well, technically you are,” Tallah smiled at her, “I guess Dwane, knowing I’m not human, will see a difference in him.”

“Maybe. Probably just flirt harder.” Wynta smiled at her. “He likes you a lot.” She stood up, “I’m not allowed to leave without escort, and I don’t want you getting caught in the crossfire, so we’re not doing dinner tonight. I don’t know what Nolan will do. He just tried to grab me off the street. Apparently, someone sold me to him.”

“What the f**k, how can anyone do that? You’re not affiliated, so no one can.”

“Agreed.” She muttered. She didn’t understand that either, but now she really did know what Nolan’s intention was. To force her back to him for some Goddessly awful reason. He’d not wanted her back then and she certainly didn’t want him. She couldn’t understand it.
