How to Train Your Ex-Billionaire novel Chapter 60

Todd was taken aback. "Why are you suddenly asking about this?"

"Oh, you know," Monica said with a sigh. "I keep setting Yvan up with nice girls, but he doesn't like any of them. I figured you're both young and you hang out all the time, so you probably know him better than I do. That's why I'm asking you."

Todd hesitated for a moment, then lowered his voice. "I'll tell you something, but you have to promise you won't tell Yvan I told you."

"Of course, go on," Monica said, her heart tightening with anticipation.

"Yvan's gotten himself tangled up with his first love—the one who's married with a child. I saw him with her yesterday, taking her kid to the doctor. I think he's serious this time."

"What?" Monica shot up from her seat. "Yvan is… How could he?"

"That's what I said! But Yvan's stubborn as a mule. When I tried to talk some sense into him, he just got mad at me." Todd was still fuming over how Yvan had yelled at him over Winifred. More importantly, he didn't want to see his friend go down the wrong path.

"Alright, thank you, Todd. I understand."

Monica hung up, her stomach churning with anger.

How could Yvan do something like that? Wrecking someone's marriage was immoral, to begin with, but even if that woman got divorced, the Brown family would never accept a divorcée with a child.

She was about to call Yvan and confront him when Ella, the housekeeper, came in. "Ma'am, Ms. Johnson is here."

Before the words were even out of her mouth, Cornelia walked in with a sweet smile. "I came to see you."

"Cornelia, what a surprise! Come, come, sit down." Monica immediately stood up and warmly ushered her to the sofa.

"I brought you a few things. I hope you like them," Cornelia said, handing over the gifts she was carrying.
